  • Powerful and Fun Kite, But Not for Beginners
The Prism Kite Technology Synapse dual-line parafoil kite is a strong, durable, and very fun kite to fly, but this is definitely not something I would recommend for beginners. It is better suited for someone who already has experience flying dual-line or stunt-style kites. This kite can pick up speed quickly, so you really need to fly it in a large open field with plenty of room for error. If you are new to this type of kite, it can get away from you fast and could potentially hurt someone, damage vehicles, or get caught in trees, power lines, pier lines, or other obstacles. The build quality feels solid, and once you know what you are doing, it is a lot of fun. Just use common sense and make sure you are flying in a safe, open area. Also, stay far away from airports or any restricted areas where flying a kite could cause problems. Overall, this is a great kite for more advanced flyers who want something fast, strong, and exciting, but beginners should start with something easier before moving up to this one. ... show more

  • Flies extremely well. In heavy wind, super fast.
My teenaged sons had a blast flying this. In light wind it was easy to fly and control. Fun for an experienced flier, and a beginner could also learn to fly it and have fun. In heavy wind (20+mph), the speed of the kite became surprising, impressive and kind of crazy. It was a challenge even for a skilled flyer. This kite is quite versatile. Also neat that it packs small, sets up easily, and has no sticks that could be dangerous if someone were struck by the kite. ... show more

  • Fast fun and forgiving
This is a fun, fast kite that is just as agile, and much less fragile than the delta type sport kites I've flown. I love it. It's a little pricey compared to similar offerings from Hengda Kite, which are up to 66 percent cheaper and just as nice. So I guess you pay a little extra for the Prism name, and it may hold that much overall value to you. It's a personal preference that matters. ... show more

  • amazing
Love this kite, great present. You can crash it, and it won't break. With strong winds, it can pull you

  • Garbage kite, find something else.
These kits suck, very narrow flight window. They have to be right in front of you or they flip over and crash. Extremely dissatisfied.

  • The most fun you can have with your pants on
Fun way to pass the time on mountain tops. Durable little thing too.

  • Expensive mistake
This kite is beautiful and very well made, but do not make the same mistake as me and buy it with an inflated sense of confidence. It never got to fly before the lines were so beyond tangled that the whole thing needed to be thrown away. The manufacturer needs to have flying instructions or videos available for people, otherwise it'll just continue to be an expensive mistake. Great looking, great quality, but absolutely NOT for beginners. ... show more
