My daughter has enjoyed this for a few years now. It has a low enough height that it backs into it's "parking spot" under one of our coffee tables out of the way in the living room. The hedgehog is a slipcover, and is a bit tough to get back on once it's off, but the good news is, this also prevents little hands from working it off on their own. I've never had to put it back on because of a kiddo getting it off. If you prefer to have an easier-to-clean toy, under it is plain black easy to wipe clean surface. It's soft and comfy to sit on, so no worries there. Very durable; I've had several instances where people MUCH larger than the recommended weight decided to try it before I could shoo them off, and no damage yet. This is a high quality item, and it is so darling! My daughter just turned 1 and she is still getting the hang of walking, but she loves the plush face of the hedgehog and riding around (with help from mom and dad) on it! She is 90th percentile for height, and her feet drag on the floor when we push her. Once she learns how to propel herself around though, I think the height will be perfect. Right now she pushes it around on her knees - its so cute! I personally like the size of the small wheely bug, in contrast to many reviews stating that the large size is the way to go. By the time she needs a larger size, we'll get her a bike and other ride-ables I'm sure! One thing I didn't expect was that the plush part is actually a cover, so you have to stretch it onto the wood base and could potentially remove it for spot cleaning if need be. Haven't had to do this yet, and doubt I will try putting it in the washer, but potentially a plus! It did require four hands to stretch the thing on though...its a very tight fit! ... show more

My niece and nephew love pushing this thing around. Unlike most toddler toys this one has wheels that turn any which way. This makes it easy for small children to maneuver as they aren't stuck going in a linear line against a wall or furniture. The cover is completely removable for easy washing but is a little difficult to put on. I had to have 3 hands to make it stay but thats a good thing so the kids don't pull it off themselves or slide while they are riding it. It is lightweight enough that my 1 year old niece can pick it up and walk with it. I would highly recommend this or even a couple for play dates! ... show more

I cannot say enough good things about this ride on. My niece got the mouse version last Christmas and I noticed that it was far superior to many of the other name brand ride on toys so I jumped at the opportunity to buy this one. What I love most about it is that it is not made out of plastic and the wheels are coasters so they glide and maneuver easily on hardwood floors and low pile carpets. I also like that this toy is sturdy and requires no extra buttons, lights, or sounds in order for my son to enjoy playing with it. The only thing I would caution parents about is that it rolls so easily that it is not safe for small children who are new to walking/riding or who still have difficulty with balance. It’s pretty small I guess I was expecting it to be bigger however it is adorable and soft. I’d recommend a getting larger one so you can get more years out of it! I got the hedge hog wish it was available in a larger size!

These are awesome for indoor riding! They are non damaging to flooring and furniture, soft, cute and cleverly designed. I first encountered them at my babysitter's a couple years ago, and held them in the back of my mind for future gift ideas. My niece's 1st birthday present was the hedgehog and it was a hit for sure! Perfect toy for kids that love the ride-ons but need to stay inside(they are sturdy enough for outdoor use, that just wasn't my intention for this gift) thank you!!! ... show more
