This thing works well lifting medium and small pots especially with rolled edges. However I probably wouldnt try to lift cast irons or anything too heavy with this. I havent field-tested this handle yet but it should come handy.

We like our Primus Primetech pot because it saves us a lot of fuel, and we not only use it on the Primetech burner but also on our propane camp stove. The handle, on the other hand, seems very much optimized for light weight rather than durability, and we had to order a replacement handle (this product). I wish the clamping area were a bit more durably built, and I wish the rubber parts on the clamping area were a bit more heat-resistant. But this is very lightweight and works well as a backpacking tool. ... show more

I purchased a Trangia nested pot set, and saw a recommendation to purchase this pot holder to replace the one supplied with the set. Sure enough, when I received the set, I was disappointed with their pot holder, and glad I purchased this one from PRIMUS. Highly recommend. Locking, and soft contact points just make this a much better working item, as well as easier on your pots. ... show more

Bought to use with my frybake pans, I like the ability to lock this gripper into the pan, no slippage and easy to remove. I use the frybake pans in the field and at home for daily use, this gripper makes getting the large frybake pan out of the oven a simple task. Thinking I will buy another gripper to use with my Trangia 27 and 25 kits, this gripper is much nicer that the Trangia supplied gripper. ... show more

It’s ok. I liked the thought of this locking onto the pot but discovered it’s not practical when trying to put something hot back on the fire - it’s hard to get it to unhook quickly. It’s great if using something to eat out of and you need a handle though.

I purchased this hoping I could get a sturdy pot handle/lifter that can lock. After a few weeks, the rubber part that helps to hold the pot had crumbled and burned off, and the handle never had that strong a grip.
