It takes practice but it does work to summon the crows. I use it on my walks and they will follow me now when they hear me coming. I also call them when I put peanuts out and they come. It does sound a bit like a blow horn but if you practice it sounds better and it works either way. Just make sure to make the Caw-cawww sound. They will eventually recognize it's you.

This thing works. If there are crows around they will respond. I'm still trying to learn how to actually "call" them, but they definitely respond to it. I'll see one or two, and I'll call to them and immediately I will hear a few dozen others calling back. Sometimes they come flying over me from surrounding areas. It gets pretty noisy pretty quick. I've been leaving food in the same spot for a week trying to call them to it. Today, I didn't even have to call. As soon as they saw me they started calling. I put their food down and left. They won't eat it while I'm still there... yet.

I bought this little reed for my mistress under the assumption it was a harmless, gothic novelty- a fun parlor trick to lean into her dark-cloaked, incense-burning, woodland-witch aesthetic. I thought we’d get a few amused chuckles on the patio. Instead, Primos has manufactured a direct pipeline to the Old Gods, and I am now bankrolling an emergent Westerosi avian syndicate. The acoustic resonance on this thing is terrifyingly authentic. She took it out into the backyard, threw her shoulders back, and let out a guttural, raspy CAW-CAW-CAWWWW that sounded less like a hunting whistle and more like an ancient blood incantation echoing over the Wall. Within ninety seconds, the sky blackened. Every corvid within a three-mile radius mobilized. They descended upon the oaks like a shadow army answering the call of the Crow Queen. It wasn’t just a casual flyover—these birds landed on the branches, tilted their glossy black heads in unison, and awaited operational orders. The acoustics cut through crosswinds and tree lines with startling, terrifying clarity. Now, my weekends are entirely derailed. She has set up an elaborate reward system involving roasted cashews and shiny bottle caps, and the curriculum is advancing at a deeply concerning pace. Last Tuesday, the vanguard tapped on the second-story window until she fed them. Yesterday, a particularly large crow dropped a rusted metric 10mm socket onto the patio table like a blood offering. She is currently training three lieutenants to steal the neighbor’s Amazon packages and unlatch the patio gate on command. If you want a cheap piece of plastic that makes bird noises, look elsewhere. If you want to turn the woman in your life into an ominous sorceress commanding an airborne battalion of feathered mercenaries, the Primos Crow Call is unmatched. Winter isn’t just coming; it’s currently perched on my pergola demanding raw peanuts.

I was nervous because it doesn't sound super accurate and depending on how you use it, it does sound like a kazoo as other reviews were saying. It's a very forward almost nasally sound? Instead of more open or low. I have a group of about five that have been naturally hanging around my neighborhood for the last year so I tried it tonight when I heard caws outside and a few came right down to my house ! Maybe this is just luck, I'll have to try it some more. Or at a time when I don't already hear them in the area. They didn't come as close as they usually would, and seemed very cautious of the noise. Pretty durable and well made, you can even attach a keychain for portability or decoration.

The crows noticed it immediately. The package has recommended patterns for crow calls. I recommend you practice them for better results. I tried without using the patterns at first. The birds looked at me a little stunned and flew off. But using patterns, they had longer conversations with me. It will fit in a pocket. The resin plastic horn seems very durable but the reed area is less so. Super eady and fun. Try it. The kids will love it. It sounds a bit like a party horn (like the ones at New Years parties, but for ... crows).

Was great at first. The seem of the mouth piece is coming apart. The reed inside came out cause of it and now it just does not sound the same. Maybe they all do this and i just dont know better. But i dont like how it now splits and pinches my cheek. It did work i was able to call in real crows. Now they run away. Before when it was new. Mine is less then a month old. But out the package did a great job and id recommend it.

This call does exactly what it’s supposed to—got turkeys gobbling and crows crowing. The sound is loud, sharp, and carries really well, which makes it perfect for locating birds from a distance. It’s super easy to use right out of the package and doesn’t take much practice to get realistic tones. I’ve had birds shock gobble almost immediately after hitting a few calls, especially early in the morning. It’s also consistent—no weird squeaks or struggling to get sound like some cheaper calls. Do a quick read of crow calls prior to trying out the product. I made the mistake of taking the crow call device out of the package and then using it in my backyard. I blew a few random calls and about 20 upset crows showed up. I subsequently decided to educate myself on crow calls and the device works brilliantly. I let the crows know that the backyard is my territory and the few birds that do occasionally show up quickly leave without complaining.
