Made of clear vinyl material, it’s designed to attach to the bottom of frameless, swinging shower doors without adhesives. Use it to replace discolored and moldy shower door seals or leaky, unreliable seals. Installation takes just minutes and doesn’t require adhesives or other additional products. The shower door bottom seal fits a 3/8 inch x 36 inch swinging shower door, but can easily be cut to fit a shorter door with a hacksaw, tin snips or utility knife. Fit perfectly on 3/8 inch glass door. No adhesive needed. While the sweep edge is soft silicon, the channel is polycarbonate. That is very difficult to cut. Scissors and knives are useless. Tin snips are recommended. Use the existing sweep as a template to determine size and be precise when cutting.

This was purchased to replace a 17-year old deteriorated door seal, which it did perfectly after being cut to the desired length. It's made of sturdy plastic material, so it's not easily cut with a utility knife. Rather, I cut it with a small hack saw, then filed the cut end smooth before installing it. Easy for a 74 year old grandma to measure using old sweep and cut it to exact size with small saw. Cleaned glass with calcium remover then it slid on easily. The previous one was different brand and was more difficult to get it on door. Used hammer to ease it onto door by tapping end and bottom of strip. I will buy this same brand again. Be sure and measure width of glass to buy correct size sweep. Mine is 3/8". If you hire someone to install it you will pay $100. for service call. If I can do it this easily, anyone can do it. ... show more

This is a very sturdy and easily adjustable shower door seal. It came in a tall box - nothing bent or broken. It clips on very securely to the shower door (3/8"). I had to take in on and off several times to get the right length but that didn't harm the integrity of its seal or sturdiness. My shower door is a little higher off the base so I pulled the seal down a little to ensure it blocked water and it all worked great. One thing to note...be sure when you cut it that you leave a little at the end of the shower door...otherwise you will have a gap where water can drain. ... show more
