The SLx 3x MicroPrism is an all-new advanced optical system that combines the compact, lightweight size of a microdot with the durability and precision of a 3x magnified optic. The SLx 3x MicroPrism offers 13 illumination settings with AutoLive motion-sensing on/off technology. Weighing under 8oz, the SLx 3x MicroPrism is smaller and lighter than many red dot sights, though its crystal-clear glass and 3x magnification offer improved precision at distance. Even at close range, the optic’s wide field-of-view and forgiving eye relief make it easy to snap on target. Because the SLx 3x MicroPrism uses an etched reticle with adjustable diopter, the user will always have a clear, crisp reticle image, even if they have severe astigmatism. Each ACSS reticle is specially designed to outperform in real-world applications, incorporating a mix of tools to deliver instant firing solutions. These tools may include ballistic drop compensation, auto-ranging stadia, wind holds, moving target leads, or an infinitely-precise center chevron. The ACSS-RAPTOR-7.62x39/300BO-YP brings the same features as the 5.56/.308 reticle, except the holdovers match 7.62x39 and .300 AAC Blackout ballistics. At close range, users can rely on the bold outer horseshoe and infinitely precise center chevron for fast and accurate target acquisition. As range increases, users can use the auto-ranging ballistic holdovers and accompanying 5-mph and 10-mph wind holds, which are set in 100-yard increments. Knowing the proper range to your target is crucial in order to use the right hold on the BDC. Auto ranging a standard 18” wide target horizontally is correlated with the BDC hash marks. The horizontal hash marks range estimate center mass on targets 18” wide, and predators or small game with an approximately 18” measurement from shoulder to hip. When using the BDC to auto range, simply fit the target’s width inside the BDC hash mark that matches it, and fire. All the math has been done. Gravity will affect your bullet’s trajectory (or path). The BDC starts at the tip of the chevron and finishes at the 600 yard mark, indicated by the lowest hash mark. Simply aim using the point in the reticle that coincides with the range to target. For targets at ranges between points you can split the difference. For example, for a target at 450 yards you should aim halfway between the 400 and 500-yard hash marks. We recommend that you establish a steady, supported position in order to utilize the BDC. Notice the dots aligned with the BDC marks below the chevron. They are 5 mph (8 kph) and 10 mph (16.1 kph) wind marks. Wind will cause the bullet to drift left or right depending on wind direction.
