For me, 362 days a year are bad hair days. I have very fine hair, and not enough of it. Mine is chin-length right now. I have had hair extensions (FYI) at 800.00 per 3 months, and let me tell you, this is the way to go! The first day I clipped this pony in, I received just 30 minutes before walking out the door. My hair was already "done" and I didn't want to ruin in by trying the pony, but I did anyway as it was a really humid day and I knew I'd be ticked off 10 minutes out the door. BOOM! Transformation complete! It was/is soooo easy, and the compliments I got from friends that night were amaz-balls. All I did was take it out of the package, brush it out a bit and done. If you have concerns like I did about the claw staying in all day, give it a try. I flip my short hair upside down and then grab as much hair possible to clip on to. For me, it's not heavy at all...in fact I like the feel of a really full ponytail (which I can never grow). Note: I'm guessing this thing will not last more than 6 months-ish if you're going to use it like I apparently am. I already bought a second as this one will "wear out" eventually. Again, I paid thousands foolishly for extensions just to get shoulder-length volume, so trust that I know the pain of crappy hair. Last for blondes: I bought the blonde mix and the bleach blonde (returning). The mixed blonde matches my hair perfectly even though I have roots now. My hair is high/low lights in a blonde/caramel mix. The bleach blonde is really solid in color and looked really one-note to me. ... show more

Loved my first, second was too thin

I bought med brown in August or July 2021. It was beautiful, great color and quality. Matched my hair color.. The hair was thicker and fuller than I expected. I wondered if it would look good on me. My own hair is fine, although I use volume building products. But it looked great coupled with back combing the front of my ow hair to create a full look. One reason I love clip on ponytails is I love theme parks. So it's helpful to not only have a quick and easy hairstyle in the morning but to also have hair that is no muss, no fuss all day. This pony held up during rides on fast coasters and I looked pretty all day. I loved the length and got very used to the fullness. At first it seemed to shiny, but that's typical fir synthetic hair. A synthetic clip on pony that is used often begins to look worn out with time and this one was no different. After a year it was fraying at the bottom and a few hairs would come out if I combed it (used a wide tooth comb). It looked natural but unhealthy as if I was in bad need of a conditioning treatment and cut.. I really like it and wanted to replace it with the exact same thing.. Unfortunately, the one I ordered in November 2022 was much thinner. It looked like a different hairpiece because there just wasn't the same amount of hair. I could even see through the bottom layer. I returned it. I have considered reordering, but don't know if I will. If you order and end up with something that looks a bit skimpy, I'd encourage you to return and reorder. I ordered Auburn Mix and it matches my hair very well as I have true medium/light auburn hair . It's a bit heavy, so if your hair is super thin, you may have issues with it. The jaw-clip will keeps it in place, you can wear it either high, medium or low. The price point is excellent. Here is a tip for maintenance, as I've been wearing helper hair for years: This is synthetic, not real hair, it's in the same family as nylon. With that said, when you wash, do not use human hair shampoo or conditioner, rather, wash in warm water with a gentle detergent, like Woolite. For the "conditioner," use fabric softener. Use non-scented, because the perfume in scented fabric softeners is seriously overwhelming when it's on your head, take it from someone who has experience. Some people have complained it's too shiny, well, that's typical of synthetic hair. USE DRY SHAMPOO spray to tone down the shine. It works miracles. Enjoy and cheers ! ... show more

I like it, HOWEVER, I really can't wear unless I change my own hair color. I feel that this particular color is a bit misrepresented, in that it is definitely more of a reddish brown/auburn for sure. Not blonde at all, not even considered strawberry blonde. I've gotten colors with 4/27 in it before, and the 27 hair used here is not what I am used to seeing in the least bit. I have ordered numerous Pretty Shop pieces before, always pleased as far as the texture of the hair, the fullness, and the fact it looks very natural. But the colors are tricky. And sooo very unfortunate they do not make this or any other of their pieces in my perfect, ideal color anymore (I bought 5 of them until they ran out, and sadly doesn't look like they will make anymore) :( The service is fast, they will communicate well and promptly with you, just can't always get the requests you want, but hey, that's life. Considering the price it hasn't been too tragic when something doesn't match, just hate the trial and error period. Just a suggestion that they should post a numbered hair color chart along with each of their ads, so customers can get a better idea of what color to select and will match ideally. ... show more

Color didn't match trying to return it

Just wanted to return so I can exchange for different colors that will hopefully match better. If I can't exchange numerous ones I've bought from this company (which I have been using pretty shop products for over a year and have been happy. So I decided to try out the longer hair pieces except those do not come in my specific color so I get the ones that are the closest match.. I love the color I've been getting the bun in sadly not an option for the other pieces... I spent money on them so now I want to exchange them for the color I like but if they can't be returned there's no way I'm spending my money with them just to find or have one I will actually wear. I don't even care if it's just the same Bun one I've been buying for over a year already but I have no use for the ones I can't wear. Hoping this can be resolved as I've been satisfied customer until now. Bottom line is no refund means no money to shop here any longer. ... show more

I cannot express enough how much I LOVE this hair piece. I originally bought this to try out as I have pretty thin hair & will never be able to grow mine like this. And my husband always complains how long it takes me to get ready to go anywhere.lol!! That was over a year ago!!!! Since my very FIRST purchase I've not gone a day without it. I get compliments on my "ponytail" almost daily, and I promise that's NOT an exaggeration. It's crazy!! To this day some of my co-worker & kids friends have no idea that I wear a hair piece. IDK what recent reviewers are talking about when they say it feels fake, it is super soft and the color I get matches perfectly!!! Now I will say they don't last forever, however I have 2 (sometimes 3) that I rotate because after wearing it about a week or two, I wash it to bring it back to almost it's original softness. After washing it the first time I did see that the curls weren't as good as they had been originally, so I actually use those pink sponge rollers to set my hair piece . It takes about 1.5 to 2 days for the hair to dry completely but after that it's like new again. So with doing all that after like 2 to 3 months I toss the oldest one and order a new one. Honestly you can't even get a good haircut for this price! Anyway that's my review I hope it helps!!! Definitely worth a try and I recommend this to EVERYONE!!!! ... show more

Get one! I was very skeptical this ponytail extension was going to look even semi-realistic, but for this super inexpensive price I was willing to give it a try. I purchased for theatre, so I figured even if it looked okay on stage it was worth the $14. But it looks really good up close, too! Bonus! I may even wear this for an evening out, not just for a costume. The color is hard to match from the online photos and I did have to return the first one I bought. My hair is difficult to match because I have blonde highlights and reddish lowlights. Natural hair is a medium reddish brown. I ended up with the "Brown Blonde mix H95_33H27" and I don't think I could get any closer match with a hairpiece unless it was custom dyed. I think it looks great. The texture is nice; it shines, but not too much. If you grab onto it, you can tell it's synthetic, but overall it's soft and nicely waved. I'm attaching a photo so you can see how well this blends. The piece has several different colors, just like my own hair. So if you look at my bangs and then the rest, I think it blends extremely well. The claw clip is nice and strong. I have a lot of natural hair, about shoulder length, but it's fine textured. So my normal ponytail is pretty skimpy. This really beefs it up! If you're on the fence about this product, I'd encourage you to try one. You sure can't beat the price. ... show more
