Bought this to try, for fun. Haven't worn it out of the house yet, so I can't attest to how it'll hold up, but it's very easy to put on. To me, the color was exactly what I was expecting based on the photo and, for the most part, it blends ok. It's a little shinier than real hair, but I don't think it's *too* obvious. All in all I am happy with this ponytail. That is, after ordering 3 different ones because the color(s) that are shown in the pictures doesn't accurately reflect the true color of the hair piece that you get it in the mail. So that's why I took off 1 star. The photos should depict the true colors more accurately. Honestly, thank goodness for Amazon Prime or else I would have given up on this after the 1st purchase! Ultimately what ended-up being the closest match to MY hair color (and it's still not perfect, but close enough) was the one called "Dark Blonde Mix". But as you can see from my pictures, the ponytail is anything other than "dark blonde" ... Also, I would suggest creating 2 small ponytails with your own hair, one high in the back/top of your hair, the other directly beneath it so it's level with the tip of your ears. That way, it's easier for the clip to attach (grabbing your natural hair in 2 places rather than 1...) and it also makes it less heavy on your own hair. ... show more

I ordered the 'Gray Mix' and am fortunate that my silver hair is white near my face and dark in back. This piece is quite dark where near it's clip and has some fun white/silver on the tips. If you have baby fine hair you may not like this product, as it will look very different from your own hair, but mine is medium weight and the gray hair i have is coarser than when it was naturally black. I followed someone else's suggestion and put 2 ponytails in my own hair (one higher, one lower) and this gives the clip in the hair piece a good solid place to grasp on to your hair. Some might find it heavy if worn all evening. I am going to keep it in the hairnet it comes in when not in use and away from my cat. My daughter's hairpiece was discovered by her dog and that was the end of that! ... show more

Love love love it!! I just bought 2 more in different blonde variations! I bought this one b/c I'm going more blonde soon, but even at that it looked realistic! The hair piece doesn't have that shiny fake look either. I highly recommend this product. This is, by far, the best clip-in ponytail I've ever purchased! I have platinum blond hair, but the pic that went with their version of platinum blond looked less like platinum blond, than the light blond, so I ordered the light blond, and it really does match almost perfectly. The ponytail is fun, bouncey, light, yet looks amazingly full! I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase, and will be purchasing, again, just to see if I can get even closer to my color.
