I was very happily surprised that this worked like a charm! (I admit to having been a bit skeptical beforehand) I was in Paris for 2 weeks and installed the SIM card on an older, no longer used iPhone, while still in CDG airport. I was able to text while away from wifi without concern, find out how lost I was, how to find how not to be! Since I had not signed up for an expensive international plan, I used this every day for maps, local information, (used RometoRio constantly). I will do this on all future trips to Europe!

I bought the 31 day, 12 GB SIM card for my trip to France, Belgium and the Netherlands in September 2025. I have a Samsung S21FE 5G phone with dual SIM card slots. I put this SIM card in my phone just before landing in Paris, and it connected immediately - it’s a French Orange SIM card. When we crossed into Belgium, I just had to switch my phone to roaming to connect. I did not have any problems whatsoever accessing data. I did not need 12GB of data - I only used about 2 GB during the whole 30 days of travel. But, I did download and save a Google map of every city we visited before leaving home to save on data. I did not stream anything when not on WiFi. I did not make any phone calls, but I did use it for WhatsApp with some Abnb hosts. It worked great for me, and I would purchase again!

I and two other couples took a 29-day cruise. We each bought this product. I don’t know about the others, but I was never able to get mine to work. I’m not blaming them for this. I’m no technical master genius, but the advertisement called it a simple install and play. I hope others have better luck than I did.

I was a little concerned with the negative reviews but this worked flawlessly for a TickTalk kids watch in Italy and Ireland. I just popped it in after we landed. Because the TickTalk watch blocks direct SMS messages the info was under blocked messages in the parents app with a Welcome to Orange Holiday message that contained the phone number. I simply updated my daughter's profile on the app to the +33 number provided and we were able to send messages and call each other. No additional registration or activation required, and no signal issues anywhere.

This SIM card did not work for our travel to Europe. I have an unlocked phone that I have used for travel in Canada in the past with a SIM card I purchased from another source and it worked fine, so I know it’s not the phone. I tried to use the phone for both calling and texts with this SIM card and it worked sporadically. It occasionally worked for google maps but not always. Support staff after the trip was helpful in trying to figure out why this didn’t work with my phone and gave me a full refund due to it not working for me.

I took a trip to Rome and Germany in December. I installed the sim into my phone once I landed in Rome and it worked perfectly. I received a text that let me know my French number for the Sim. I was able to receive other texts using that number. Whatsapp worked without any issue. I was able to get 4G throughout Rome, Pompei, Florence, and Frankfurt areas. I was able to use Google Maps and other apps. The trip was 20 days and I used around 200-500Mb daily. For TV streaming, I used Wifi from Hotels and restaurants.
