I purchased two of these bookcases to store all of our homeschool materials. They were easy to put together. My 11 year old nephew put them both together for me. They look exactly has I had expected. I did have a few problems with them though. When you buy something new you expect it to look perfect. No blemishes or imperfections especially the first day. Well, both bookcases had imperfections right out of the box. Not terribly noticeable imperfections but some none the less. Several pieces were scuffed. 4 to be exact. Also one of the hinges for the doors was bent considerably. My husband bent it back but it did effect the integrity of the hinge. It works for now. Overall, I like the bookcases. Would I purchase them again…yes! They look more high-end than other bookcases I found without being thousands of dollars and they are TALL! That was a big selling point for me. Put in a bedroom where a closet was supposed to be, but the niche was too shallow. Thought of adding carpentry shelves, but saw this option and the width was near perfect and the height is great. We had a small brown bookshelf for about a year as a space holder. When we finally decided to make the purchase, the product all but disappeared. Could have gotten it a bit cheaper, but we thought it was discontinued and had to purchase when we found it. A few weeks later, we found it cheaper, even here at Amazon, but it was too late to do anything about it. Overall, happy with the purchase, it looks great. I didn't unpackage or put it together, but was told the pieces were not labelled; that would have made the putting together easier. Also, one of the nails that keeps the back on went through to the front and marred the shelf above the doors at the rear, but that was the fault of the assembler. Nothing is labeled or organized probably in this box. Was able to put it together but without instructions so that was fun. Also missing a few pieces and we had to order those on the side since I figured going through the actual company wouldn't net very good results

Product delivered 2days late, but intact (no damage), but yes, it is two person lift & assembly! I’m glad I paid for delivery person to drop item inside of house versus outside the door. Very heavy product but looks to be good quality, and the assembly was pretty straightforward despite not having any parts labeled (would have saved about 15 min), but all in all I would recommend for anyone needing to fill this specific sized space (as I was). Nice cabinet doors and knobs make bookcase more finished/polished. I would buy again. Rubber mallet came in handy in addition to other tools required. ... show more

The material is so cheap and flimsy that the wood was already cracked when it arrived - we got 2 and they don’t just stand together nicely, one clearly leans on the other. And the assembly really wouldn’t be too bad if they would just label parts. Instead you’re guessing and can be nearly finished when you realize a board is facing the wrong way and you have to go back like 7 steps and do it again. And the cabinet doors are absurdly complicated. I’d suggest splurging on something you don’t have to worry could just fall over on it’s own in the middle of the night. ... show more

PROS: prime delivery during Covid is a big plus, well packaged with zero damage at delivery, a good value compared to other knock down furniture with doors, a bit more style detailing than most, easy to assemble IF you take your time and read directions, components and hardware good quality and nicely finished with no mars and stable when upright. CONS: 80 pound box needs 2 people to handle. The back panel of the unit is basically cardboard which looks cheap (replaced it with beadboard panel). None of the board pieces had decals to show what was what, so easy to mix up. Overall I couldn't build this for the price and it looks good, so I would recommend. ... show more
