We are totally satisfied with this headboard. It’s well made and seems to be of good quality and very sturdy. The instructions for putting it together were very clear and it didn’t take more than an hour to put together. We have only had it a couple weeks but so far no issues. To make it a bit higher my husband made some wood pieces to add to each of the bottom boards. When the bed is put together they are not noticeable and it gives the headboard a more elevated look. It wasn’t necessary to do this but we were trying to cover up a little area of the wall that was slightly damaged. Having the headboard a little higher covered up the issue. So it saved us from having to paint the whole bedroom over again. Would highly recommend!! ... show more

The screw holes were on the wrong side. We had to redrill our own. It looks good, but it's middle of the road quality.

This arrived damaged (see photo). None of the pieces were labeled but, given that there weren't that many pieces I knew I'd be able to put it together. The middle slat is made of thin card and would not stand up to regular use. By now I was seriously doubting the wisdom of this purchase but the final straw came when I discovered that several holes were missing that would have allowed me to put the pieces together. Looks very nice. Set came well packaged. It's a large box and heavy so damage is a concern. Mine came perfect. Easy to assemble and looks very nice. I marched it to king size frame. You will have to purchase some 4 inch bolts and wing nuts to attach to frame. I also used a 1 inch thick spacer block to fill gap between frame and headboard on legs. This headboard looks really nice and I am mostly satisfied because it was fairly inexpensive. The only real problem is that it is so flimsily and wobbles front to back if not supported by placing against the wall. knowing this, I'd probably buy something else but really like the look. Another problem is that some of the edges had the finish scuffed off that I have to apply some stain to hide. Also, the top edge trim piece just sits in some fasteners and easily pulls out. Not a problem unless you try to lift by this. I could put some caulk in the holes but haven't seen the need yet. ... show more

Out of all the reviewers in this Amazon Page I decided to place headboard in front of a shelf in my bedroom. Why? Because Ikea Brimnes can't do anything like THIS. Put this headboard behind a Duraloly 24" thick shelf and you got the ultimate bed storage system. You can store any size box, even those Home Depot roller totes, adjust the heights however you want, and you can display some knick knacks on the upper shelves and still get a good night's sleep on this beautiful headrest. It was a project I wanted to do since the pandemic given this old City Furniture bed model, and all I could use for a headboard were totes themselves...you can imagine how clumsy some nights were. I'm only short shimmies and mounts for the headboard, but that's the bed's fault and I can deal with that later as of this post. Most importantly, the color matches the bed PERFECTLY. Regardless, this DIY project has been absolutely badass, and IKEA can cry a river. ... show more
