We are totally satisfied with this headboard. It’s well made and seems to be of good quality and very sturdy. The instructions for putting it together were very clear and it didn’t take more than an hour to put together. We have only had it a couple weeks but so far no issues. To make it a bit higher my husband made some wood pieces to add to each of the bottom boards. When the bed is put together they are not noticeable and it gives the headboard a more elevated look. It wasn’t necessary to do this but we were trying to cover up a little area of the wall that was slightly damaged. Having the headboard a little higher covered up the issue. So it saved us from having to paint the whole bedroom over again. Would highly recommend!!

Exactly the style we wanted and easy to assemble! It is not solid wood and the paint surface scratches off easily so be gentle with it when assembling. Took under an hour to assemble solo, only a screwdriver was needed. Wish there are way to see the colors in person before ordering to get a better understanding of the color... We would rather have expresso if we knew it was a dark blackish brown but in the pictures it looked red and we didn't want to hassle with ordering just to see the color and returning it. Two of our pieces were missing one of the pre-drilled holes but PrePac shipped the replacements straight away! For the price of around $100 it's a pretty good value.

love the headboard. love that it Flat and doesn't overly stick out ( the lip might stick out from wall a inch and a half). I attached mine directly to the wall. Love the sleek look. It was very easy to assemble

0/10, if I could give this zero stars, I would. There was missing holes for the screws so I had to go out and buy wood glue. I had high hopes for this and threw my previous head board out thinking this was better and I was wrong. I already ripped open the box and spent my time putting it together, or else I would’ve tossed it the trash. Also none of the pieces are labelled, which took more time.

Out of all the reviewers in this Amazon Page I decided to place headboard in front of a shelf in my bedroom. Why? Because Ikea Brimnes can't do anything like THIS. Put this headboard behind a Duraloly 24" thick shelf and you got the ultimate bed storage system. You can store any size box, even those Home Depot roller totes, adjust the heights however you want, and you can display some knick knacks on the upper shelves and still get a good night's sleep on this beautiful headrest. It was a project I wanted to do since the pandemic given this old City Furniture bed model, and all I could use for a headboard were totes themselves...you can imagine how clumsy some nights were. I'm only short shimmies and mounts for the headboard, but that's the bed's fault and I can deal with that later as of this post. Most importantly, the color matches the bed PERFECTLY. Regardless, this DIY project has been absolutely badass, and IKEA can cry a river.

I am an over 40 female who has had three back surgeries, and I was able to do this by myself. People say that parts were missing, I did have one screw missing, but that’s nothing terrible. It wasn’t a screw that was vital. People say it’s cheaply made. It’s only $100, so that should be your clue it’s made out of pressed particleboard. People complained that holes weren’t drilled out. It appears the holes were made before the white spray coating was put on. So if you just run your finger along the board, the paint is real thin and it will pop, revealing the pre-drilled hole. Someone complained about the drilled holes at the base being drilled on the wrong side. The holes are drilled halfway through, you line up your bedframe, find the holes, that work, and then drill those out. However, in my case, one side, fit perfectly, but the other didn’t. So I had to drill two brand new holes. The headboard is extremely heavy. One person complained about the center piece being cardboard. Again it’s just thin pressed particleboard. You’re only paying $100. It went together fairly easy.

Looks nice, fairly easy to put together as long as you’re used to assembling stuff like this. Pieces are not labeled, instructions are just pictures, so it is important to look at where the holes are on the pieces to ensure that you have them properly laid out, especially the middle piece on the headboard! The very top piece is not very secure, so I did have to glue it down, didn’t want it falling off during the night if my dog’s tail hit it. Hardware to secure to the bed frame is not included, but it does specify that, so I ordered it when I ordered the headboard. I did use a power screwdriver to assemble and it cut my assemble time in half.
