As for the assembly, I managed by myself while four months pregnant. I only needed assistance twice, and both instances were for lifting once I got the headboard assembled.

I love my new headboard. It has great storage with bonus storage down the sides which is rare to find on other bookcase style headboards. I can keep the sections behind the bed for pretty things, and use the side compartments for tissue, lotion and other things I don’t want in the open. Assembly was pretty easy. I put it together and put it in place by myself so it is possible for one person. I would suggest putting together the bottom and top separately, moving the bottom into place and then attach the top. Although the height of the bookcase is nice, I wanted it to sit a little higher behind my bed so I added two 6 inch risers under each side. The headboard sits very sturdy and does not rock back-and-forth, but adding the risers seemed to make it sit even more securely. The extra height gives it a real impressive look. There is room for improvement with the lights. They adhere nicely, but you need to keep the sensor for the remote towards the front and it cannot be blocked. This can cause a little frustration when you want to fill the area with other items. Additionally, the cord is not long enough to comfortably place the sensor towards the front - It is a tight fit. Otherwise I am very happy with this purchase, the assembly process and the final overall look. Pros? Style, assembly, weight, functionality Cons? Light installation, sensor placement and functionality - reason for -1 star reduction My Stars Explained 5 - Like finding money in your old coat pocket - pure joy! 4 - Almost perfect - like a pizza with just one missing topping. 3 - Like a movie that’s just okay—neither a blockbuster nor a total flop 2 - Like a blind date that went horribly wrong - cringeworthy. 1 - Like stepping on a Lego in the dark - painful.

I needed a headboard for a while a d decided to purchase this one. The directions can get a little confusing but very manageable. The remote for the lights is OK. It's a solid headboard and love the shelves

I received the headboard as promised. Once I opened the box one of the board was cracked, which could have happened during shipping. I contacted the seller and they responded promptly through amazon messages. I was given a tracking number that is not working to replace the one cracked board. Good quality as the package was heavy. I can not put the headboard together yet, unfortunately. I will give an updated review once the replacement board is received. Update- I received the new part yesterday. Customer service was amazing and prompt once contacted. I do recommend this product to purchase.

After taking me some time to put together then finale was a let down. One side of the LED lights not working after all the time assembly by myself. So, needless to say, I’m rather frustrated. 🤨 Check your lighting before assembling.

Much more solid that I thought it would be for the price. The top piece of wood came cracked out of the box, but it's barely noticeable. Assembly took about a hour with the provided tools, but overall fairly simple. Would have given 5☆ if it came with the bolts to attach it to the bed frame.
