    • Good product for the money - great teen bed / headboard set up
This headboard was purchased with the Prepac Full Bed with the 6 drawer storage. In addition we had the 6 drawer dresser and the 2 drawer night stand, all of the Prepac brand. After construction all of the pieces of furniture were sturdy. No shaking, wobbling, etc. My son is 5'4 and will have some room to grow in the space. The headboard provides easy access for book / water bottle access at night (per my son). Assembly of all 4 pieces took roughly 5 hours and that was with 2 of us running power drills (vs screw drivers). the bed simply butts up against the headboard and there is no hardware attaching the headboard to the bed. It's not an issue though as the bed itself is pretty heavy and will not be moving around without a lot of force. As it relates to the bed, the only thing that I wished would have been alittel better were the slats the matress sits on. There were 3-4 inches on each side where you could see down into the drawers. I bought a 1/4 in piece of hardboard and cut it so that it provides a complete cover for the mattress to sit on and creates privacy for the drawers. For $20 that was an easy adapt. Other than that the set turned out really nice. I will also comment that we bought the black color becuase there wasn't availability of the cherry wood style. The color looks great. ... show more

All shelves arrived in good condition with only very subtle marring on the top shelf. All drill holes were sharp and perfectly lined up. Easy to assemble. Only wish there was a hole to route some cables through and that there was a way to mount the headboard to your bedframe to make it stand sturdier.     • Turned out great but putting together was a hassle
I loved how this turned out and feels pretty sturdy. I’m only giving it four stars because it was hassle to put together: - it came missing a piece which did take about a week to arrive - it was short on nails and had to get some ourselves (I’m sure they would’ve sent some, but we just wanted this built). - one of the pieces didn’t have enough holes (we ended up drilling ourselves) Overall, I am still very happy with how it looks and feels, and besides the missing items, it didn’t take too long.     • Very Nice Headboard (Daughter uses it as "Footboard")
Seemed fairly easy to assemble. We bought the "black" variant and the color is good and covers all the pieces. Daughter uses the assorted cubbies and spaces to store "stuffies" We did NOT attach it to her metal bedframe and actually, she uses it as a footboard. Easy assembly, however several pieces had weird marks/scratches on them . I wanted to return it but my daughter said she could paint it. However it's a nice headboard, comes packaged well and put it together in about 30 minutes.

    • You get what you pay for
It's very sturdy and good quality for what you pay, the instructions can be slightly confusing since they list labels for each piece but the pieces themselves are not labeled in any way. If you're good at reading instructions it's no problem to figure out which is which. Watch your own strength and know you will need the following tools; Drill, Philips head screwdriver, Hammer. it tells you the screwdriver is the only tool required but that's a lie lol other than that its great! ... show more

Perfect for my room. We really needed good storage space around the bed. This thing is sturdy as hell. The instructions weren't bad but the drawings for some of the screws and stuff didn't match very well and had you guessing a bit. Also none of the pieces were labeled, but by following the holes and using some common sense, two women constructed this in 30 mins or so. ... show more

    • Overall very nice looking & functional -- needed fixing
Overall this headboard, especially the bookcase features, met our needs and is nice looking when set up. It took both my husband and I (who are seniors) 2+ hours to assemble. Thankfully, my husband has carpentry skills because the base holes did not align up to the boards, so he had to drill new holes. The top had pretty deep scratches which was disappointing.
