  • Just what I was looking for
I wanted shelves with lower cabinets to make a "library wall," without breaking the bank. These were very affordable, but still taller than most cheap shelves, to get the look I wanted. They arrived faster than expected, and went together easily except one set was missing a part. The company sent a replacement part within a week, no problems. They're not super high quality, but they're sturdy enough and nice looking for the price. Did the trick for us, and we're happy. ... show more

  • Great value for money, looks amazing
Arrived much earlier than estimated, very heavy, I've purchased two. All parts were in the box, would be better to have the hinges in a separate bag because smaller screws hide in there, but I do understand that creating more plastic isn't good for the environment. The boards don't have any identifying markings on them so it takes time to figure which one goes where, but not too bad - the instructions are clear (for the 2nd assembly I was barely using the instructions). They do provide a marker to hide some scratches, and it works amazing ( I could not tell where I used it). But the marker got punched by some screws in one of the boxes and was completely dry, so it could be maybe more protected in a small box, or styrofoam; luckily i had the second box and that marker was intact. I've read in previous reviews people were complaining that the screws for the handles were too short, I think they have fixed the problem because mine were the perfect length. Overall, I would buy this again, It looks amazing and perfect for what I need it for, love the "scratch" hiding marker. ... show more

  • Very tall and lots of storage
I purchased these because I needed some bookshelves that were less than 27” wide and these fit the bill. We got 3 of them. It was also a plus that they are so tall. They just barley fit through a door way. It’s hard to see it the pictures just how tall they are. I love it. And finally there is very little space under them for dust to get trapped. There is just a little opening at the very front. Others reviews had trouble putting on the doors but all of ours were fine. One out of six of the door handles didn’t fit so we had to drill out the back of the door just a smidge but it wasn’t big problem. I put a picture with a yellow arrow showing that the front side piece doesn’t come all the way down and meet the bottom piece but you can only see it if you are sitting on the floor. Other wise it’s unnoticeable. There were no scratches on any of the pieces when they arrived. They were as easy as any other piece of furniture to put together. None of the pieces were labeled but they were super easy to figure out which ones were which. I love how they look and how much storage they add to the room. ... show more

  • Slant-back Bookcase review
The bookcases look nice, and are very functional; quality, being laminated particle board, is just OK; the hardware used in construction is effective and well-hidden for sturdy, stable assembly, though the laminate chips easily. Both cases I purchased arrived well packaged, but with numerous nicks, etc, but these were easily hidden by a brown marker included which can be used to touch up nicks in the laminate. Construction is NOT easy as the ad states; the first one required about 3 hours to assemble; the second one a little less after I had been through one. Assembly instruction were good except for 2 things: there were no measurements on the multiple different sizes of boards, making it difficult to know which was which before assembly; and there was no instruction on how to adjust the door hinges, which I had to write and have emailed to me; that was essential to adjust the doors after installation. But overall these were attractive and very functional cases, and nice for the price. ... show more

  • Canadian company, great service
I got this to put in my hallway because the lean back design looks very nice in a small space where you're looking at the side of it all the time. Assembly was as easy as any other flat pack furniture with instructions that were pretty straight forward. The only issue I had was one of the thin backer pieces was damaged badly in a corner, and there was no way to hide it when it was in place. I was anticipating a problem trying to get a replacement, but they have a form on their site where you fill in the details as to the part and your order number and a week later I had my replacement part. I'm very happy with their service. ... show more

  • Flimsy
It was not difficult to put together at all. The doors were the hardest to do as warned, but it was fairly easy. It looks good, but it is so flimsy, not sturdy at all. we had to brace it on the wall and put another brace on it. did not want the hassle of returning it. It was delivered with care and on time. All the parts were there and nothing was broken or busted. It is just not sturdy it is wobbly. Also, I looked for this in other places it seem Amazon has the best price. It is just not worth the money. ... show more

  • Beautiful large shelf with sturdy materials
I bought 3 of these book shelves and they are exactly what I needed. The instructions were easy to follow and building cases 2 and 3 became much easier with each case I built. Its quality material. One of my cases arrived with a damaged part, the this back piece that covers the rear of the bookshelf, that part that is closely related to cardboard (but much better quality). I just used the damaged section in a lower corner that is now hidden behind books. Con: The bolt that is used to attach the doorknobs to the door is too short for the job. The doorknobs easily fall off and I have to replace either the bolt with a longer one or both the bolt and knob due to it possibly being a proprietary bolt thread. ... show more

  • Machine screws for handles were wrong length
Purchased this bookshelf and assembled it. In general it looks really great! However, at the end, when I went to attach the knobs for the cabinets, I found that the screws that were sent were not long enough to pass through the cabinet doors and also thread into the knobs. If this issue with the screws were fixed, this would be a great product. As of now, my bookshelf looks a little odd with the pull strings I added as a temporary solution to be able to open the doors without the knobs. ... show more
