Tiny and you need oil a light brushing and if you know your plastic should be fine made great baits for the fish I'm happy!

One of the places I like going fishing always has fish responsive to crickets and grasshoppers. As I love making my own lures, I wanted to try this mold to see how close to a grasshopper I could make and if the fish would bite using a lure. The mold injection was super easy. Following the directions, I was able to put together the mold and do as needed. After carefully pulling out the grasshopper (the legs are fragile and thin so you take extra time) I found the grasshopper lure looked just like a live grasshopper. The mold's details to the insect was extremely impressive with those thin legs and firm body it looked so real. Another reason I liked the mold is that the air vents offered a way for air to escape so there were no bubbles. Overall, I loved my grasshopper lures, but the real test is what the fish think. My trip out to try the lures was interesting. No bites the first hour or so. Then closer to sunset, the fish seemed to really enjoy my grasshopper lures. I reeled in a couple of nice sized fish that obviously was looking for a grasshopper meal. After returning them to the water, I headed home happy that the fish liked my grasshopper lures too.

I really like the over design, makes for a very buggy plastic lure. It seals fairly tight and is easy to fill. On occasion some of the fine cavities don’t want to turn loose but if you’re careful, it works fine. Kind of small, would like to see a couple more in the mold, but for the price, it works fine.

My son is now a fan of soft bait lures, and one thing he often asks for is a lure mold. This four-cavity lure mold is perfect for him to melt his old, broken fishing lures and create something new. He set up a workstation outside, where he melts the old lures and then pours them into this soft plastic lure-making mold using an injector. This method has worked very well for him. I'm impressed with the quality and the shape of the molds. They are well-built, and he will be able to make hundreds of lures at a fraction of the cost compared to buying them in stores.

This is an excellent grasshopper mold - I love it. The molds are really good quality, and produced some very appetizing looking grasshoppers. The fish will love them! To prep these prior to casting, I brushed them down with oil, then taped them tightly together. I used an injector for casting, then let them cool in the fridge. Then used a flat wooden stick to pry them apart. They came out clean afterwards (no issues with residual material getting stuck to them), and the lures were easy to remove. Caution, the grasshopper's legs are very fragile. I broke a few of them trying to pinch off the over-poured material. Not a big deal, can always remelt them and recast. I might do this with a small pair of scissors or an exacto knife next time. Pros: + Excellent quality. Alignment is perfect. All surfaces are perfectly smoothed. + Center pins to assist with positioning. + Cutouts in corners make it easier to pry them apart after casting. + Comes with a bit of oil. Cons: None

Over the last year I have been stocking up on lure molds and picked this one up to add to that collection. It works well and is easy to use. The lures look great. I can make lures now to my hearts content with any color pattern I want. It's an expensive hobby but well worth it with how much variation you can do with the proper materials. I would definitely suggest adding this to your collection if you're into making your own lures.

Nice easy to use mold for making lure bodies. You can mix whatever colors you feel like for these molds to make your own distinctive versions. Mold is setup for good flow and is easy to use. Follow directions and it is easy to do.
