I travel often to a remote area near Antarctica, with little heat and poor insulation. Everything there must be imported and as such is very expensive. When I saw this white goosedown comforter with such a high (1200) thread count of Egyptian cotton content, I was mesmerized. The "sale" price was unbelievable for the product as described. On my last trip to the states I picked one up and brought it with me on my next journey to that cold and rainy environment. Like other reviewers, I found the package to be both small and lightweight, which was no surprise to me as my extra-large goose down sleeping bag is also quite light and stuffs into a tiny sack. It also helped in transporting my item so far away. I bought a duvet cover to protect the white cotton outside of the comforter from dust, stains, etc. After spreading it on my bed and climbing under (I got a King size duvet for a Queen sized bed) I found that the goose down wraps itself around the bed and body, hanging down with plenty of extra bedding down the sides and bottom of the bed to keep drafts and cold air from seeping in. My experience with the product has been beyond expectations. It is warm, comfortable, and helps to cradle the body with a light, comforting layer of heat (reflected from the body and insulated under the duvet). I would definitely purchase another one and gladly recommend it. If you haven't slept under high quality white goose down, give yourself the favor of this friendly-to-the-budget treat!

This duvet is very high quality and feels so luxurious. It is very light, soft, and fluffy. If I wasn't worried about getting it dirty then I would even use a duvet cover. I have had no feather fall out but I also haven't tried to wash it since I use a duvet cover. The baffled boxes keep the feathers from shifting so that there is even distribution. Like with all down products this does have to be fluffed regularly to keep it looking full and fluffy to it's fullest potential. The only thing I didn't realize is how warm this was going to be. Shortly after purchasing this duvet we moved to our new house with gas forced air heat (from electric baseboard heating in an apartment) so we keep our house at about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This duvet is definitely 750 fill power so it will keep you very warm. Unfortunately, since we keep our house at a decent temperature we can't use this lovely duvet. The seller was excellent and worked with us to find options for something that would work for our needs.

I am a down snob. Ever since spending a year in the Black Forrest in a sparsely heated hotel where it got down to freeze-the-water-in-your-glass cold, I have appreciated the benefits of down and feathers. That was a long time ago, but I have enjoyed down comforters ever since. When I found this one I was a little skeptical about the quality since the price was very reasonable for goose down, and Siberian down at that, but my old comforter had developed runaway down, looked lumpy and had lost that indescribable luxurious effect only down can give you. I read all the reviews and decided to take the chance on bedding that I couldn't touch before buying. I knew it would come flattened and needed time to fluff from the other reviews. When it came, I didn't detect a scent at all, neither did my chemical-sensitive husband. It did fluff up some, but this isn't like a pillow, the down is captured in square baffles (little fabric walls sewn between the top and bottom layer)so it can't migrate too far. I ordered the king size for my queen size bed so I have a nice overhang. My house goes down to a chilly 55F at night, and this comforter keeps us warm and toasty. If it was any fluffier, or thicker, it would be too warm. It's a big king size (Cal King), so make sure you have a duvet cover that will fit that size. I feel this is a fine quality and was a great buy.

Nice quality, heavy, snug comforter. Well filled so perfect for chilly nights. The only thing is for a king size bed it seems a little small. It fits the bed but once my partner and I are in bed there’s not enough comforter to cover us both easily. I usually bring another quilt to bed so my partner can have all the comforter. We have a normal king mattress so I’m not sure why it doesn’t fit well on our bed, it just doesn’t.

This was a gift for my daughter for Christmas. She was happily surprised ....it was exactly what she wanted. Very nice and fluffy, well made. She has used it on her bed every day since she got it. She's gone through 4 other comforters (Beds in a bag) But this one stays . her bed always. Easy care, washes well in our washer, still looks great. Would definitely recommend and would order again. Price was very reasonable for this high quality item.

I've had this comforter for several months now. I'm sure most people want the facts so here goes: 1. I live in chicago. anyone in the united states knows chicago has extremely cold winters. Fact is, this comforter is so warm I have to sleep with the windows open. This comforter passes the chicago test, and I saw another review where the purchaser lived in Antarctica. THESE ARE WARM. 2. The tag says the only ingredient in the comforter is "white goose down". it also says minimum 75% down, which I know down is the fluffy stuff under the feathers of a bird, so you can expect a little bit of feather, like you would ANY down product. 3. I dry clean mine, so I have no idea what machine washing it is like. Overall, this product is an extreme bargain. My gf is constantly at my house spending the night solely because my bed is MUCH warmer than hers. I have 2 cats who hate my room, but I find them napping on my bed very frequently as cats love heat. you do not need a space heater if you own one of these. I'm thinking about buying another one so I can use it while my current one is at the dry cleaners. One Word: Toasty.

I was impressed with the reviews on this down comforter, and looked at the product for a while before ordering. My current comforter came from the Company Store, some 25yrs ago, and was falling apart. It is king size and originally very expensive. I was also living up in Traverse City, MI area and had a very cold bedroom with 3 unheated walls. I have 3 unheated walls here in bedroom now. Needed a good comforter to keep me warm. I received this comforter and I have to admit, just out of the zippered plastic package, it was not very impressive. I suspect it has about 50oz of Siberian goose down. I let it breathe a few hours on the bed, then covered it with duvet cover. Fluffed it and slept a la natural. The light down comforter was warmer than the Company Store heavy winter down comforter! I slept warm and comfortable all night long!!! Quality is shining here! Heavy and expensive is not always better!
