I've built several of these styles of desk and this one was the simplest, yet is sturdy. Please note that I have modified mine to have a taller monitor riser than what this desk comes with (because I swapped it with the one from a previous desk). The riser that comes with this desk is pretty low clearance. The LED kit included is super cute and comes with its own little remote. I am loving this new setup! I really don’t understand anyone who says this is difficult to assemble: it definitely isn’t and the instructions are super clear. This thing is incredible! Lights work, everything is perfect. LOVE that the side piece is reversible so you can put it on either side. Excellent purchase and looks sleek and well made. Just the right height, comfortable amount of space. Got this for my son. He wanted an L shape. Great thing is you can make it to the left or right. Pretty easy to assemble but time consuming. I would have possibly laid the instructions out in a diff order but it still worked their way lol. Great for computer, school work, good amount of space. Would recommend. ... show more

Some people get personal satisfaction from putting furniture together. I am not one of those people. I did put a recliner together recently, but it was only 4 big parts and a few screws. This desk is composed of 19 different parts and over 60 screws of 7 different sizes -- big difference! They say at the beginning of the installation "you need a helper to finish the installation," but that's not true. I did it all by myself, although I'll admit it would've been easier / quicker if I'd had a second pair of hands. All told, it took me over 4 hours to put the desk together. (If you're someone who's experienced at putting furniture together, you could undoubtedly do it faster.) Much of my time was spent in double-checking to ensure that I was installing the parts correctly. The directions, while accurate, are not easy to follow -- the orientation of some of the parts can only be determined by the placement of a single drill-hole, and the diagrams are not particularly easy to decipher. But to their credit, all the parts & screws are clearly marked; it's just the sheer number of them that can be overwhelming. Once I got it assembled, I really like this gaming desk. I'm currently working from a simple table, and it's awful nice to have shelves for storage and a raised shelf to put my monitor at eye-level. This desk also has 4 AC outlets and 2 USB ports (although 1 of the ports is used to power the light-strip), which I like. I also like that it's reversable, in case I ever decide to change the layout of my office and I need to change the layout of the desk too. (But after all the work that was required to assemble the desk in the first place, I'm going to think long and hard before I disassemble it and rebuild it.) I'm not accustomed to having a storage bag, so I haven't used it yet. It might be better than a drawer, but I'm not sure. But I like that if I decide not to use it, it folds up flat so it's not in the way. As for the LED light strip, I haven't made up my mind about that yet. The remote control allows me to choose from 7 different colors, which is kind of cool I guess. (But I usually prefer white, so the other colors don't really matter.) And the flashing effect I find annoying, but other people might enjoy it. So it's a matter of personal taste, but I'll probably end up disconnecting the light strip and freeing up a USB charging port that I can get more use out of. The desk is a compromise between being lightweight (which makes it easier to move -- this is good because I tend to rearrange my office layout every year or so) and being solid. The way the desk is designed, it's surprisingly sturdy. (That's assuming you assembled it correctly.) I don't expect this desk will stand up to a lot of abuse, but if you treat it with reasonable care, it should last for a long time. So in short, I'm quite happy with this PRAISUN gaming desk. I wish it had been easier to assemble, and I feel that the light strip is a cute but useless feature; but the desk itself is reasonably lightweight and reasonably sturdy, and I'm looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it. ... show more

Alright so, I needed and wanted a new computer desk for gaming, music mixing and at least one laptop. I also wanted at least one high shelf for monitors and bookshelves for other stuff. This fit the bill. Local stores were asking twice the price. After measuring, this twice, it fit perfectly. It's more stable than it looks. Fairly easy to put together but since it is reversible, watch which pieces turn which way. I had the primary left side reversed but the paperwork envelope still installed just from the inside, aka still worked out. It looks good and the LED lighting I keep in a bright blue so I can see undershelf. Overall I am very pleased for the price. 5 stars! ... show more

I got this desk as my tv stand / video game desk / writing desk / laptop desk. It is perfect for all uses. I don’t know if I would’ve been able to put it together by myself with my own brain, but my construction minded boyfriend helped me and he was so patient. It is sturdy, has multiple outlets from 1 plug in making it perfect to keep my laptop charged & video game controllers charged while still being able to play comfortably. ... show more

It took me about 3 hours to put this together, with another person helping AND power tools. The instructions are "good," but not "great." And heaven help you if you ever need to move it AFTER you put it together the first time. I am glad I only paid ~$80 for it, but there is SO much room for improvement on the assembly instructions, the build, and how completely rickety it is. My monitors shake CONSTANTLY, even with their factory stands. And do not even think about getting an arm support system to install on this thing because it barely supports itself. Would buy again if no other reasonable, economic choice presented itself, but without the LED lights (which the instructions provide ZERO information about installing on the desk), this desk it worth maybe ~$49, not $90-$150. ... show more

I bought this for my son, he loves it. The lights are a nice feature and it has a power strip that mounts on the desk. He uses it for gaming with a monitor on the shelf, but there is enough room for a laptop on the larger desktop. The shelves are great for extra storage.
