This was a gift for the kids during the holidays -- we expected it to be a bit of a novelty, but it now travels with us whereever we go and is a ton of fun! The many game modes are entertaining and it's fun to keep trying to achieve new high scores. The buttons are a bit finicky -- many of them have two functions so you have to learn to press the right part of the button. I just received the cube today, everything worked fine except that I could not turn the power off. I e-mailed customer service and they suggested I try removing the batteries in order to reset the cube. So that is what I did, and now it works perfectly. We got this for our 4 year old and while it can be challenging for him at times he still loves playing with it. He absolutely loves making music and the light show on it. We’ve had it a few weeks now and it’s always going where we are. We’ve even had quite a few people out ask us about it.     • First one wouldn't turn off

The buttons are not very precise on the menu side of the cube. When I press the power button to turn it off it either says "select game" or it thinks I pressed the "Chase Me" game. When I try holding it down, it tells me the high score for "Chase Me". I gave up trying to turn it off and set it aside with the hope it would turn off automatically, but after five minutes of the music, I was ready to chuck it across the room and silence it permanently. I FINALLY got it turned off but I'm not sure which of the angry button mashes finally accomplished the task. My son likes it, so hopefully I'll learn the magic trick before the thing drives me utterly insane. EDIT: the company reached out to me to provide a refund and again to offer a replacement, which we received and which works much better. My son is able to turn it off easily. My 7yo + 9yo both love this toy and can play it together with it’s 2 player option! There are several different game modes so they won’t get bored with this one easily. My daughter loves the “make music” feature and my son really enjoys the light show. Both of my kids disassemble traditional cubes and there is no mess with this one. My son got something very similar to this one as a gift and loved it, so I bought it for a kid of a very similar age that I didn't know so well. It was perfect in the sense that he lit up, played with it for quite a while and seemed to really like it. It was challenging for him but still fun. I love this game cube. My 8 year old son plays with it a lot. There are several different games you can play on this cube. He loves to put on the light mode at night as he fall to sleep lol. This cube also has it to where you can play single or two players which is perfect for him to play with his younger brother. This is a great mind game. Fun and challenging.
