I have found this braid to cost-effective, while not compromising on the core strengths of braid. I bought the moss green color and did not like the fact that the color came off on my hands and reel. I initially could not understand why my reel looked green, but after cleaning it with a cotton bud and alcohol the source was clear. I have seen if on my hands while fishing to a lesser extent. I did not see any stains in the boat and I'm thankful for that, but I would expect braid (which is intended to get wet) to be able to retain its color. ... show more

I have used other braid from time to time to test the market, always come back to Power Pro. It is the best, hands down. It will fade over time, turn white'ish, but still is as strong as the day you spooled it. Last forever on a spool.... Shoot, when I was Tournament fishing on the lake 3 out of 7 days - I would not change it out for months.TIP: Get some dark green cloth dye for water, throw the spool with line on it in the pot and let it "cook" for a spell - not "factory" green, but good enough. ... show more

There is a lot to like about this fishing line and a few things that drive me crazy. The fishing line is thin, really thin, but very strong and for casting off the beach it's a good thing. What I don't like is that it clings. I'm always shaking it of my hands and other objects. The other thing I don't like is that if it gets tangled and knotted it's very difficult to unknot because of it's thinness. I have caught a lot of fish with the line. ... show more

Just don't overfill your reels with line and make sure to stay out of the wind and have good tension on the line when casting to avoid backlash your first few trips. Power Pro braided lines are my go to braids. Have tried bargain brands but they break less than their rating. Only had one time when 20lb broke when it should of held, the line was brand new.
