Description

Just as Mike McGill was perfecting the 540 McTwist in the summer of 1984 at Swedish summer camp, V.C.J. was working on a new deck graphic for him. Since the "Skull & Bones" theme was proving to be popular, that was the direction chosen for McGill's new deck. Mike's input was to add the snake and lightning bolts since there is an abundance of both in his home state of Florida. McGill's Skull & Snake is truly a classic skateboard icon. Great deck. My first one was stolen way back in the dat. I have been riding concave Santa Cruz boards for a while this one took a bit to get re-acclimated to since the nose is short. I have to rely on my Indy's to grind since the nose is shorter. Bailed on a nose stall. Either way, great board for air on vert and a nd expect to break a bone on this one and add it to my wall stack. ... show more

I love the board but it started cracking at the front trucks after only 2 months of not very much riding. I only tightened the bolts enough to make the heads flush with the deck so they weren't overtightened. Nor was I doing any crazy tricks, just cruising the skate park on it.
