It comes with predrilled holes for several height adjustments. However, I had to cut off 2 inches for my application but it is easily done since it's made out of aluminum. One piece of advice I would give, is to set it at the water line on your boat. Normally I would set it even with the boat hull but when I did that the first time water was shooting straight up the square tube and coming back in the boat. Looked like a jet ski rooster tail. This worked great for my John boat. I didn’t have to put any holes in the boat to mount my transducer. I have been very happy with this product and it looks great. Everyone that has seen it ask about it.

    • Had to cut mine down a bit but great product!
My transom was shorter than what this was adjustable to so I had to cut the square tubing down a little - easy enough! Less than 5 min to do w/ a Dremel or even a hacksaw. Looked all around for suitable transducer holder & this fit the bill the best. Well made, seems a little expensive for what it is but I’m not a metal fabricator so this is the next best thing. Glad I’m using this in freshwater only as I believe salt would chew this up pretty quick. Works great on my Grumman Sport Boat. ... show more

This is an American-made, American-designed product from an American-owned company. Installation on the drift boat was easy. I wanted a longer unit to get more mounting options. I was able to contact the seller by phone. I explained to the owner what I wanted, and it was cut to order and powder coated fand shipped in less than a week. And, it was truly affordable.     • Good idea but not for use on some boats.
Probably works fine on a kayak or paddle type boat but not very stable an outboard powered aluminum crappie boat due to the clamp doesn't stay fixed very well. I had to modify so I could rigidly fasten to transom .

Well engineered and manufactured . Strong enough to do the job of keeping the transducer where it belongs without having to drill holes in your boat and easy to break it down and secure it form thieves when not in use.
