I have a small boat. Needed to mount Garmin striker plus 7sv. I didnt really want to drill holes in transom. Also wanted to keep portable to possibly work on a friends boat. I have to say if u are looking for a sturdy mount no drilling and keeps portable... Look at this.. HIGHLY recommend taking a look at this. Very well built and thought out. Very adjustable for different mounting locations. I looked all over for a mount and honestly was ready to be disappointed.. But I am so happy I took a chance and spent the money on this. Well engineered and manufactured . Strong enough to do the job of keeping the transducer where it belongs without having to drill holes in your boat and easy to break it down and secure it form thieves when not in use.

It comes with predrilled holes for several height adjustments. However, I had to cut off 2 inches for my application but it is easily done since it's made out of aluminum. One piece of advice I would give, is to set it at the water line on your boat. Normally I would set it even with the boat hull but when I did that the first time water was shooting straight up the square tube and coming back in the boat. Looked like a jet ski rooster tail. Raised it up to water line and down scan and side scan still work properly. Clamp is strong! Built right in my opinion. ... show more

Very nicely made and went on like a breeze. The only thing that I didn't like (and mentioned by a few others) is that they used cheap nuts and bolts that are prone to rust. After all, this is made for boats! At that price, the nuts and bolts should have been stainless steel. I had to replace all the hardware with stainless steel at an additional $10. ... show more
