I purchased this for use when I travel. I like to set my laptop on a shelf and work with a remote mouse, keyboard and monitor. This portable display is perfect, lightweight for travel. It works great with plug-n-play in Windows. Use the included HDMI cable for display, plus use the included USB-C to USB-C cable for touch-screen function. It also works for my Samsung android phone (with just the USB-C to USB-C cable), plus it needs a power source using the included USB-A to USB-C cable (needs a 5V/3a or higher adapter, not included). ... show more

I collect portable monitors as a lifestyle choice ; I've been doing it for decades and its one of the things I spend the most on in technology. Most monitors made these days are very similar and its hard to find anything that deviates as I suspect almost all of them are designed and developed in one place. This Catsights monitor completely bucks that trend and is the first one that truly seems to deviate from all the other current models, despite having the most common specs at 1080p 60hz 15.6". Unfortunately the deviations are not all good, but I'll get to that after I talk about what I liked here. This portable monitor is super thin, light and strong; while it is as thin as my other thinnest monitor of this type I have (made by KADO/Sceptre) - it is much more durable and does not fall apart when pressure is put on the edges. The built in kickstand is only a few inches wide and in the center - but this has the advantage of not blocking any of the ports when it is flipped up or down like the usual design for this that I see. I really love the build quality on this. The menuing is also different from what I am used to. You push a button to activate the menu, but from here you need to use the touch screen to change the options available - which are unfortunately next to nonexistent. You can adjust brightness and volume and that's it. For Apple users you can change the touchscreen aspect ratio but that doesn't apply to me. There is no contrast, hue, saturation, sharpness, tint, aspect ratio or anything else you would expect to be able to do on a monitor. Worst of all there isn't even an INPUT SELECT so if you have both HDMI and USB-C hooked up to it, there's no way to change which one the monitor is displaying. That's a very basic and obvious feature to have on a monitor that has multiple ports and I'm astonished that such a severe oversight was made. I could live with the lack of screen adjustments if the default image was good - but sadly this has about the worst picture quality I've ever seen in a portable monitor with faded contrast, unsaturated colors, and a general dull look to it. Out of all the several dozen modern portable monitors I own, this one looks the worst and as such I have to actively find something unimportant that it can be used for due to the poor visuals and lack of options. This screen does have one last SURPRISE feature: if there is no signal going to it, it can be a CLOCK. Yes. A CLOCK. No other monitor I have does this! In fact, it might just be the only thing it is good for, and perhaps the reason it was included. For the $110 asking price, on paper getting the built in touch screen and both HDMI and USB-C inputs seems like a good value for money - but I can't dismiss the lack of adjustability and poor picture quality. I actually really like the extra features this has and I think the build quality is great - but it should not have come at such a loss of other features that are expected standards for this kind of product. ... show more
