This is what's so unusual about this box: 55 multiple sized compartments, no removable dividers, a lid that helps keep the parts in place. I bought this for sorting small Lego parts which come in a variety of colors, but some are much more common than others, so I needed compartments of various sizes. Why don't I just get one with removable dividers and make whatever sizes I need? I'm glad you asked. Because when you try to get things out, you always manage to accidentally lift up the damn divider, and mix the contents of the neighboring compartment. The lid also has depressions in it to help keep the contents secure, a lot of the other options only have flat lids which can bow out and mix compartments. I have never seen another box quite like this, it doesn't seem unusual, but it's well suited to sorting small parts. It's inexpensive and made from a relatively durable plastic, not those crystal clear boxes that can crack and break. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in white. It would be easier to see what's in these tiny compartments if it weren't black. Despite the color, I highly recommend this for needs similar to mine. ... show more

    • The Perfect Small Screw-Parts Bin

I've owned many, many styles of small screw-parts bins, but this is the first one that is nearly perfect. In most cases, the parts dividers are adjustable, which seems like a good idea, but is actually a detriment as the don't secure the compartments and parts always migrate and get intermixed between compartments. This is very frustrating. This organizer not only has fixed compartment walls, but the top lid is recessed so parts can't migrate to adjoining compartments, even if the organizer is turned upside down. The only negative feedback I can offer is that the lid is opaque, so you can't see what's inside unless you open the lid. Also, the compartments are small, so you'll need a magnet or pincher tool to remove the parts. Of course, this is probably design and not necessarily a negative characteristic. ... show more

This box was the right size for me. I use it for electrical connectors and terminals. If it’s perfect in my shelf on the side. It has enough compartments for every terminal plus I have spare empty boxes for Moore terminals when I purchase a different size.

Good storage organizer at an awesome price. Able to hold lots of small items. None of the bins are removable. I keep adding things as I find them around the home. I have everything from coin batteries, anchors, washers, wall/computer screws, drill bits, nails, velcro/pads, shelving parts, small tools, telfon tape, etc. Hopefully this will save me time and money from buying things I already have. I have had it for a couple months and so far its been holding up well, no cracks, latches still work. ... show more

Overall I can't complain about this, especially for the price and how many compartments I get to use in one centralized location. I am using mine for small plastic parts used with kitbashing. I am considering getting another dedicated for small electrical components such as transformers, motors, etc. that have been stripped from old electronics. Aspects I love: - It's easy to remove items from inside the slots because of rounded bottom edges. - The lid feels solid and closes more solidly than other sorters I have. Possible Improvements: - I was surprised to find that the black color actually makes it hard to spot small components, but not the worst problem in a well lit workshop. I prefer black aesthetically, but white or clear would make spotting tiny parts easier. - The compartments are a decent size for small and various sized items, but the height makes it difficult to get into some of the smaller compartments with one or two fingers. I have workshop dedicated tweezers so this is a non-issue for me. ... show more

    • Almost perfect, except for the hinges

I have bought two of these organizers to keep in my toolbox to organize screws, nails, etc. For that purpose, I absolutely love it. It has many more compartments than any similar organizers . However, the first one eventually failed because the hinges are made of flimsy plastic. This is especially a problem if a screw gets caught in between them and then they break. I loved the way it organized my parts so well that I ended up ordering a second one to give it another try. Unfortunately, it failed in exactly the same way. if they would improve the hinges on this, it would be perfect, but as it is, I will not be purchasing again because it is going to be a nightmare to take 55 compartments worth of screws out of this again to put into a new container. ... show more
