I picked this particular unit because of the sale price and there were generally favorable reviews for this mfr. So I thought take a chance. I liked the first unit that was sent but it had audio problems. The exchange process was as painless as possible. The new one worked fine. I was looking for a portable monitor that could be used in the field as a second monitor or as a first monitor for my Raspberry Pi's. I wanted it to be able to run from a power brick. This met all the criteria on paper and the price was very reasonable ($68). It's very thin and very light. The screen image is very good and gets to a nice brightness. Not the best in class on anything, but good enough to very good in all the rest. On a Mac you only need the one usb-c cable for both power and video signal. I had never used one of these portable monitors before and I'm finding other possibilities for use. I'm happy with the purchase. One things to consider, this does not have a vesa mount so that may limit your viewing options. ... show more

This monitor seems like a really, really good deal. I can't confirm its longevity yet because I've only had it for 2 days but so far it's been great. 1080p, USB power passthrough for device charging, multiple ports, and gets bright enough for indoor use. The folio cover is really, really bad. It doesn't hold up the tablet at all unless you sit it basically straight up but that's alright. I use it at that angle for school and I keep my bluetooth keyboard in front of it to hold it up anyway. The fact that it even supports AMD freesync, for whatever reason, it's kinda neat too. ***WORD OF WARNING*** If you are wanting to use this with a tablet such as an iPad Pro or, in my case, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+, just know that both tablets aren't capable of outputting enough power through the USB-C port to keep the monitor on so you will want to power the monitor first and then connect your screen. Obviously this isn't the screen manufacturer's fault but it's still something of note. If you see your iPad or Galaxy Tab flickering or failing to launch certain tasks, power the monitor first. Works great after that. I have no problems with this setup as I always have my tablet plugged in for long study sessions anyway. I'm sure on a regular laptop it might work better. Haven't tested any Surface Pro's yet to see if they can manage it. UPDATE: After about 2 months the magnets on the folio cover have given up. The folio cover no longer holds the monitor up most of the time. I can prop it up using the friction of the cover but it falls over eventually. Going to see if they can send me a replacement folio and may update my score depending on what they say. UPDATE 2: They sent me another folio and it works great. Magnets are much stronger than the original one ever was when, even when it was brand new. I'm going to give them 4 out of 5 stars because the folio is clearly a quality problem that many others in the reviews have complained about but it's not nearly enough for me to not like this monitor. I wasn't expecting anything more than a basic external monitor for work. I was immensely pleased by the quality and design of the display. The housing is aluminum and very thin. I suspect it will be quite fragile, but at this price that's not a concern at all. Truly plug and play, no additional drivers were needed for my Windows 10 pc. The aspect ratio is very modern and the screen is a little wider than my work issued laptop's screen. Color appeared washed out when first turned on, but the built in navigation wheel is intuitive and I was able to quickly select a warmer color setting. I have had my monitor now for awhile and travel with it for every work trip. Fits into my backpack next to my PC. Has everything I need to work remotely. I would highly recommend. Comes with all the cords you need to plug into computer. One thing to note is the power cord is not that long. I did buy a 10 ft extension cord that allows me to plug this monitor into it, with my PC, and phone. I found I needed the extension cord anyway since some hotel rooms have the plug in a spot that is too far away. Now I can work anywhere. Someone else mentioned it and I was thankful for the advice, to stand up the monitor, one side of the cover gets 'folded in' and holds up the monitor. Like folding over the top of a paper and it creates an 'edge' that the monitor rests up against. It is magnetic and really works great. Have not had trouble with this at all. ... show more

This portable monitor is budget friendly, and the best thing I bought for myself to make remote work possible. My company recently gave us new 13 inch laptops which is hard to use when traveling or working remote and you don’t have access to your docking station and external monitors. This flatscreen monitor is the answer to all my problems. It travels very well because it’s very lightweight and fits in my laptop backpack, it easily sails through TSA. It connects very easily using an external hub, which I also purchased on Amazon, and which I also love. The image quality brightness and features are all five star. It also comes with several different cords so you can choose the right one for your needs. The only criticism I have, and seriously the only thing that I don’t care for is that it’s hard to use the cover as a stand to prop the screen up while using.
