Basically, it is a high quality T-shirt with a stand-up collar, similar to a mock turtleneck. But the collar is (as with all the material) soft & has a slight stretch, so never uncomfortable. I should add that beyond just the material, the collar also does not have a tight stretch. It is just enough to keep the collar not to gap, but not be tight. It is a quality T-shirt, it is tagless & comfortable. I would recommend, I bought 3 colours. Wash in cold on delicate & dry on low setting (this material drys more quickly than a cotton shirt), as well, it's a little lighter weight but not thin. Well constructed. ... show more

This is more like a T-shirt with a collar not exactly what I expected. My expectations was that it would be thicker than it is, but I guess it will work for what I need because it will be going under another shirt. The fit is good just right for a large.
