I use an erasable pen, and the paper is sturdy to tolerate several erasing. I’ve been purchasing pocket calendars every year since I retired seven years ago. Yes I have an iPhone but I love to refer to a pocket calendar and this one was especially well laid out. Your typical full month out of view with small squares but then very good size daily sections even showing the hours for appointments. I really like the colors to choose from. I only wish that the weekends were same size in the weekly portion. The monthly portion is good. I've included photos with an aa battery for scale. It came wrapped brand new unlike the last one I bought from lemon (Not how it's spelled), which was used and wrote in. My only complaint is it is a bit wide for a pocket calendar. ... show more

I do better with an actual book datebook and not using my phone to keep track of my life. I guess I am more tactile but I need to hold my datebook and see what is going on. Plus it inevitably ends up being part journal for me too with maybe a little drawing here and there. I have been purchasing another brand for years but always felt like it was not quite right but close enough... until I saw this. This planner everything I wanted. I love the 8.5 x 10.5 size! I love the week to view the vertical layout with times for appointments. The huge numbers and days of the week are so clear and perfect. The two ribbons so you can keep track of the week's calendar but also have an eye on the monthly overview perfectly. The pocket in the back is great for business cards, pictures, or keepsakes, and even the details like the elastic pen holder on the side, which I didn't even know I needed but of course I do. The area for "contacts" and blank paper for whatever. Plus the colors it comes in. ( I got the yellow!) I like how it's not trying to be a "self-help journal" or trying to 'help you get your life on track'. I can leave that up to me, which is as I want. I’ve had larger size planners for years and realized I didn’t need all the paper space so down sizing to a smaller planner made sense. It’s lightweight, economical, fits easily into my bag. So many other details make sense: Love the exterior placement of pen. In previous planners a pen would sit within the book and it would keep the book propped open a bit and I didn’t like that. Has pages to enter contacts & I use the elastic band to easily open to them. Has additional blank pages for notes, and has use of 2 ribbons for place markers, which I’ll eventually enjoy for something noteworthy. Dunno. Love my teal blue planner. ... show more
