Quality product! Been running these lights on my mud boat for 3 years now. Still bright and work as they should. However I did not trust the 3m backing to hold. Applied these to the outside of a small flat bottom aluminum boat used in the river to run lines. They light up the water amazingly at night, no more yelling from the driver "don't look at me!! I can't see!!" as you innocently try to look at their reaction to this massive fish you just pulled into the boat with your headlamp on full light so you can light up the world in order to see whats going on. They don't stick so well. I cleaned the smooth are just below the bumper on the sides of my boat with alcohol and then applied and they weren't sticking very well. I'd suggest some extra 3rd party adhesive. They are nice and bright and don't draw down on the battery too bad. I had schools of shad around me in no time making it easy to collect bait. I drop a green submersible light in addition to turning these on and it works magic. I drilled a hole on the aft side of the strip that is way back by the stern. Then I spliced in my own wires to the short pigtail sticking out from the lights. I ran a fishtape inside of the boat and located it then pulled the wire I was going to need to reach the switch paned on the center console then filled the hole with resin to seal it back up. I didn't want to use all of those little clips by drilling a ton of holes in the boat, but I did put one at the leading and trailing edges of the light strip where they are more likely to come undone. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I originally installed just the white version of this same light but went back and added a strip of the green down one side. I was told that the green doesn’t draw bugs nearly as bad as white. We will see I have yet to test this claim. They look good and are easy to stick on. ... show more

Great lights, super bright. Put on 17’ fish and ski boat and let me tell you, it draws the bait fish. Green color lights are awesome for night fishing. Shad about literally jump in the boat. Had schools of minnows follow boat at night while trolling. As far as installing, the adhesive tape is good to place the lights whee you want them but i would not rely on it to hold them on. Get clear 100% silicone and run bead above and below and they will stay on until you want to take them off. Ran both sides to one switch. Work great, love them. Also the kit did come with clips you could screw to whatever your mounting too but did not want to run screws in boat, thats reason for using silicone. ... show more

Very bright....... BUT....... BUY GOOD ADHESIVE!!!! There is a strip of adhesive on these I THINK!!!??? Placed these on my boat and did NOT want to drill a million holes for the LITTLE HANGERS(???? what are these things anyway?? Who wants these or to drill all those microscopic holes????)so I bought 3m adhesive.... that worked... the wires are VERY VERY... I say again.... VERY SHORT ANF THIN!!!!! Be very very careful preparing the wire or you will quickly find yourself WITH NO WIRE!!!!!! They are BIGHT!!!! Lots of LEDS but they could add some GOOD ADHESIVE, more and heavier gage wire!!! If they did these would be PERFECT!!!! ... show more
