The straps are hard to tighten properly and therefore won't keep the sags out of the cover. Also 2 posts will not work on a 20 ft pontoon.

Sand bag base covers are pretty much useless. Sags badly between main uprights. Poles are of good quality however. Cover is very thin, not sure it will make it through this winter. Time will tell

Unlike other boat cover supoorts, this has everything you need, except maybe the sand, to weigh the base down. Easy to assemble and the included bag can be filled with sand or small stones to weigh the base down. The three straps hook into the top allowing the pole to be rigidly secured. Use it to keep leaves, pine needles, rain, snow, and ice from building up on your tarps or boat covers. We use this in our trailer to help keep the tarp raised when we store it. I filled the bottom sac with small limestone rocks for weight. I just have one of the support poles. I see now you can get 2 in a set, which would be better for a 12ft trailer. We also put on blocks to get enough height over the 4 ft trailer sides. Would be nice to have the poles telescoping though, instead of 4 pieces to have to keep track of and bundled together. In a nutshell combining this pole and another strap system we have, it’s worked to reduce the weight of water on the tarp from heavy rain. ... show more
