Updated- simple, easy to use just be extra, extra careful to make sure charging port door is fully closed. I used a couple of times for test runs, went on vacation charged night before and somehow didn't pay attention and door wasn't fully shut which I didn't notice until on ocean and totally too late by then, it was ruined. BUT, also I did want to add that not only can the memory card not be higher than 64GB, it cannot be an SDXC. It has to be the older generation SDHC micro memory card. I learned this after first mistakenly ordering a 256GB micro SD card, then realizing it said only up to 64GB. The I ordered a 64 GB micro SD card, but it still didn't work. After lots of googling I found info that sounded like the problem was i needed an SDHC card, but no where did anything say it couldn't be an SDXC. However after then ordering a 64GB SDHC micro memory card, the camera finally worked! (Error message kept saying memory full for the cards that wouldn't work with camera) ... show more

waterproof feature works great but you must be near the subject because of no zoom. the lack of any zoom kind of limits the outside use unless you are taking pictures of things close to you. terrible for scenery.

Bought this camera for a trip to the beach and was not disappointed. This camera doesn't take the best pictures in the world but it takes GOOD pictures and can be submerged without worrying about it. Underwater results will depend heavily on water quality and lighting. DO buy this camera to pass around between friends on a kayaking or beach trip and capture memories. DON'T buy this camera to capture breathtaking shots of the reef. I'm a hobby photographer and while I have better cameras, I'm happy with the quality of photos this camera takes. The images will initially be very flat, which is ideal for editing. Obviously not everyone wants to edit their photos, but just about any app you share photos with will have some auto enhance option that will boost the contrast and colors with one tap/click. So IMO the flat quality of the photos is neither a feature nor and issue. 18mp is large enough to display at full resolution on any phone screen and nearly any computer screen (5148x3456 pixels). They can be printed without any quality loss up to 11x14, and with acceptable quality up to 24x36. Which means the technical specs are more than good enough for just about anything most people are gonna do with pictures. Attached is an example of a decent picture taken in good lighting and edited. To me Polaroid is a staple when it comes to photography. I thought it would be fun to order this neat little underwater camera to take along with us for this coming camping season. As soon as I saw Polaroid had this I ordered. I have so many pictures from our past years but not many from when we go to the beach. As I am afraid something will happen to my phone so I usually dont bring it with us. This year will be much different now that I have this handy dandy waterproof camera. It is pretty easy to operate with only 3 buttons. The top one is for power, and the the other 2 are up and down toggle/zoom buttons. This camera can take pictures and videos. It does require a micro sd card to store all the memories. The sd card goes right in right next to the charging port. It's an 18mp camera, the photos aren't professional quality however this camera allows me to take pics where I normally wouldn't be able to so ill take whatever it gives. They aren't horrible either by any means. I will see if I can upload a couple I took of my pup. They are not underwater pictures because its not quite warm enough for swimming. Maybe underwater will look better. Either way I am thrilled to have this to play with this beach season. ... show more

Was a great gift for my 11 year old niece for a vacation. However, doesn't hold a long charge, hard for her to close the charge port completely, does NOT come with a micro sim card so make sure you buy one to go with it.

This is an inexpensive camera bought for a 5 year old. Expectations are low because it certainly will not be treated well. But it’s a good starter camera to keep the kid from wanting to use my iPhone. Been in use for one week and so far it’s served its purpose. It’s decent enough for its intended use. It is far better than one particular brand that has a built in printer so the micro SD card is a great way to teach a child photography. The other manufacturer I am familiar with that has the built in printer is terrible. It is $0.50 per picture and out of the first 30 pictures 0 were any good so expensive for NO results. We bought this for our upcoming cruise trip so that our daughter has a camera on her own. I liked this camera when I first saw it because it was small, specs looked good and the best part was that it was waterproof (one of our use cases was that she should be able to use the camera on the beach). After using this camera for 5 minutes, we realized it is NOT a good camera at all. I am glad we bought it from Amazon so we could return it but these are the returns of us sending this camera back: 1. The picture quality is just pathetic - this was the deal breaker for us. 2. Browing the camera options through the buttons as well as the experience of the Polaroid Wave app is confusing. 3. It takes a considerably long time to download the photos using the app and you have to connect your phone to the camera wifi - during which time your phone is essentially useless. I could have worked around this issue by removing the SD Card from the camera and directly plugging it into your computer but I am very disappointed in the picture quality. ... show more
