  • Another decent addition!
Platform For Display: Nintendo 3DS Edition: Ultra Moon
Adding on to an already exceptional game. Enjoyable setting with decent pacing. Another excellent roster of Pokémon makes it worth a play through.

  • Pokémon at it's best!
Platform For Display: Nintendo 3DS Edition: Ultra Moon
Pokémon Ultra Moon starts similar to the Original Sun and Moon, but right away you can tell the difference after about an hour or so of story progression. This time the story takes a massive change around the last of the Island Challenges and there is a lot of post game content to experience. The game really shows just how far Gamefreak was able to take Pokémon on Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon as well as how much power is required to run the game smoothly. The New Nintendo 3DS and 2DS is the preferred way to play this, but the real slow down issues for the 3DS are mainly in Totem battles and Festival Plaza area. The game is really vibrant and has a lot to do for old and new players as well as being a lot of fun in general and nostalgic to those who played since the beginning. This is easily one of the best games to ever release on the Nintendo 3DS System and I highly recommend it to any fan of the series or someone wanting to try out the series for the first time. ... show more

This came so much faster than expected. The game came in a sealed case and the price was incredibly fair. No damage works great definitely will buy from again.

  • It's not all new, but it's not "exactly the same" by any stretch of the definition either.
Platform For Display: Nintendo 3DS Edition: Ultra Moon
I am kind of perplexed by all the one star reviews complaining it's the same game. The Ultra Sun/Moon games are essentially remakes/remasters with all new content and drastic storyline changes to the originals, and have always been marketed as such. It's not intended to be a completely different game as, say, from Red/Blue to Gold/Silver. It's better to think of these as alternative versions to the original games because that's exactly what they are. Expectations should be adjusted accordingly. While many locations and a lot of key plot elements are unchanged early on, the experience is significantly different from the get-go in a variety of ways. A lot of scenes are executed much differently (such as the way in which you get your starter), you are chased by an entirely new villain organization with a brand new plot line attached throughout, virtually all characters from major NPCs to simple villagers have new dialogue and quests, there are new areas to find and explore, there are TONS of new secrets and quests ranging from simple and obvious to more obscure and rewarding, there are a LOT more classic Pokemon throughout the entire game to encounter and catch from every generation, not just the legendaries... the list goes on. The latter half of the game plays out VERY very differently with all new events and locations, and the post-game has a lot more meat to it. Even a lot of the soundtrack and the UI have been overhauled and changed. While I can understand not liking a game personally, calling this "exactly the same" and thus a rip-off feels like a knee-jerk reaction and frankly, not an entirely honest one that isn't offering any helpful information to someone looking to buy this. Be aware of what you're getting and adjust your expectations accordingly. Playing this in no way feels like a retread of the original games and I'm honestly surprised by how many changes there are, some big and some small. The story feels like it flows a lot better now; a lot of the cutscenes have been changes and rewritten in ways that make them feel stronger, while many major characters get a lot more characterisation so it feels more rewarding to people who have played the original and felt some of those beats fell a little flat. If you want a completely brand new game as you would going from one generation to the next, this isn't it. But as someone who has played the games on and off since their very first Red/Blue release but isn't a diehard, I am very happy with my purchase and what they chose to do with it. ... show more

  • For People Purchasing in 2022 and On! Version Questions Answered/Slight Review!
Platform For Display: Nintendo 3DS Edition: Ultra Moon
These games are some of my favourite from the franchise. I remember spending all of 2017 summer playing the original moon and all of 2018 holidays playing newly released ultra sun. The games themselves are great improvements on the originals, and if you played the originals and are wondering if these are worth it, I'll tell you right now that they are! These games are better than every pokemon game on the switch for me at least, and yes, that includes bdsp and legends arceus! Now for those of you who are curious about the version (World/UAE edition or North American). In short, nintendo have officially stopped making any games new or old for these devices earlier this year. Amazon in the last few years has also started to support third party providers for their products. This means that unless you are getting your game from a third party who somehow has these games new in North America, you will almost always get the UAE/World edition... What does this mean? Almost nothing! The game performs the exact same as a North American copy (assuming you have a NA 3ds/2ds/3ds xl/2ds xl). The only difference you will see is on the box art of the game case. It will have a little circle with UAE countries in it, but that is all! In simpler words... If you are seeing if these games are good or want to play them, this is a great purchase, but if you are a collector who wants a NA branded game case, this might not be the one for you. ... show more
