Sure, paying that amount of money for a PokéBall sounds ridiculous, but that’s the only PokéBall you’ll ever need in your collection. Not the plastic PokéBall you can get at almost every toy store, not the tin PokéBall you get when you buy those Pokémon cards, this PokéBall by The Wand Company is the ultimate PokéBall, it’s made out of quality and durable (well, not really, it is not a toy so absolutely do NOT throw it) material, and it has some weight to it and feels more like a real PokéBall and less like a toy (which again, it is NOT) unlike the other cheap PokéBalls in the market, oh, and it’s licensed by Pokémon too! So what’s so special about this PokéBall aside from the material you’re asking? Well, it has proximity sensors - whenever your fingertips come close to the top half of the PokéBall, the button in the middle glows, the closer you reach for the PokéBall, the brighter it glows (and it’s REALLY bright when you lay your hand on it). The base that holds the PokéBall has a touch pad (it is a sticker that has ‘Pokémon’ and ‘Poké Ball’ written on it, check the pictures I’ve included, it’s hard to miss), the touch pad switches the light of the base so you can choose between 7 vibrant and bright colors (again, check the pictures I’ve included). Also if you do not want to display it in the base with the lights, and want a more classy display for your PokéBall, it comes with a ring* that you put on top of the base (it has a special spot for the ring so it does not move at all), and you can put the PokéBall on top of the ring (check pictures). It’s probably the most unique Pokémon collectors’ item I’ve ever owned in my entire life. *The ring is located in the batteries’ holder at the bottom of the base, a Phillips screwdriver is required to open the batteries cover. Also, it comes with the batteries already installed so you don’t have to worry about it! (It requires 3 AAA batteries, just in case you are wondering). TL;DR - You don’t need it, but once you see it you just want to have it, and it’s surely worth it, I recommend buying it if you’re a hardcore Pokémon fan & collector. ... show more

Perfect pokeball!
Edition: Original Poké Ball

I love the weight and interactivity of this collectable pokeball! The box has neat lighting options, but I prefer a lower visual profile, so it can be kept in place without the box by resting on a provided ring. It doesn’t open, but it’s otherwise the perfect pokeball display in my book!

Impressive replica
Edition: Original Poké Ball
The Pokémon Electronic Die-Cast Poké Ball Replica is an impressive replica of the iconic Poké Ball used in the Pokémon games and anime. The die-cast construction gives it a solid and weighty feel, while the electronic features, including lights and sounds, add to the overall immersion. The attention to detail is impressive, with accurate coloring and markings, and the button on the front releases the latch with a satisfying click. The only downside is that the battery life could be longer, as it tends to drain quickly with frequent use. Overall, this is a must-have for any Pokémon fan and a great addition to any collection. ... show more

These Poke Balls look so good when displayed.
Edition: Original Poké Ball
I am a huge Pokémon fan and these Poke balls are just so cool to have on display and lit up. I have all of them and they are made extremely well just don't really throw them they are not for that. The paint on them is flawless and look just like the real thing and when holding it you can feel they have some weight to them and feel like a real Pokémon trainer but again don't really throw them. My nephew loves looking at them when he comes over, he also is a huge Pokémon Fan. The only thing I wish they had was the sound of the Pokémon being captured and not just the light flashing on the front but still these things are awesome! ... show more

The ball itself is amazing, case could use work.
Edition: Original Poké Ball
The ball itself is a great product, heavy, fun to toss to yourself, and easy to poke at. The finish on the ball is durable and hasn't scuffed or faded with my fidgeting and tossing across the day. Just reaching for it and watching it light up can be amusing, same as tossing the ball up and down and letting the proximity sensor work. All around the ball is exactly what I wanted for a fun little desk ornament that lets the nostalgia loose. Then comes the case. The case is a bit strange to set up the controls and adjust the lighting. It feels very cheap compared to the actual ball. The mechanism doesn't lock as well as I would wish and the lighting is poorly diffused. I know its not the centerpiece of the product, but a better hinge and some translucent plastic on the LEDs would have gone a long way here. That said, I put it on my work desk and at least 3 or 4 people have since ordered different versions of the same thing for their own work, so its likely just a nitpick. ... show more

So cool!

Excellent quality! The ball is quite heavy, and lights up. The display box it comes in is very nice as well.
