  • Noivern V for the Win
The Noivern battle V deck is nearly overpowered in itself for its absurd draw power, and in addition every Pokemon, besides Lugia has a 0 or 1 retreat cost. Waiting to get a bunch of energy in your hand and using Alcremie's decorate to give the energy to each Pokemon as needed, then using a copycat next turn and swapping Noivern V as your active is overkill. The Rayquaza battle V deck is not as beginner friendly, and even needs serious help. To save energy you may have to swap your Pokemon around with escape rope (which also has your opponent swap their active) because Simisear wont attack on your next turn. Ideally, you'd want to use Thundurus to give energy to Rayquaza while building up energy on Thundurus, because in order to attack with Raquaza you need to discard energy, but eventually Thundurus begins to damage itself. Likewise, Volcarona also wants you to discard 2 energy to attack, but cannot be helped by Thundurus as Volcarona needs fire energy not electric. This means Manectric and Lanturn are your best attackers, but you only get 1 Manectric whose real use is to get the draw from evolving it much like the Crobat line in the Noivern deck. Lanturn is solid because while it's waiting for a third energy card it's 2 energy attack causes your opponent to have to flip a coin to see if they are allowed to attack you. Got this reduced in cost from Amazon returns directly. It stated the packaging was damaged so it was 40% off. Definitely worth the risk. The only damage was what looked like someone stacked something on top of it so the support in between the two decks was torn. That was it, and it became 40% off from Amazon. Totally worth it. Regardless, always record yourself opening returns. It took 11 minutes to open everything and count every card, but you can never be too careful. ... show more

  • Two reasonable decks
I read some reviews, and it seems people here had no understanding of what a deck is. All decks are made to play the game, and include about 1/3 trainer cards, 1/3 energy cards, and 1/3 pokemon, and often have up to 4 copies of most cards. That is what these decks have. These decks are fire/lightning and dark/psychic. They have some strategies within them - there is an insert with the decks that points out these strategies and suggests some cards you could add to them. It includes some extra tainer cards so you can switch out some. These are ready to battle, are reasonably balanced against each other, and include the fun plastic coins, boxes for each deck (that don't fit them if you use card protectors), and damage counters. If you are looking to buy two decks to instantly play the game, this is for you. Rayquaza deck also has Lanturn, Volcarona, Thundurus, Manectric, Simisear, and their pre-evolutions, Noivern deck includes Lugia, Xatu, Crobat, and Alcremerie. The only V card or foil card is the Noivern and Rayquaza (and two of the same foil trainer in the extras). These decks would not hold up well in a competition (I would imagine those have a lot more V cards and bigger strategies), but are fun for casual play. ... show more

  • Perfect!
Everything came perfectly and now I have two fabulous decks to play with featuring some of my favorite Pokémon! Someone else mentioned in the reviews to look at the individual sellers before buying the product. And I would recommend checking the seller as well. The seller that I got my product from is very good and I would totally buy from them given the opportunity! ... show more

  • Pokemon Heaven
I purchased this for a 12 year old boy. This pack of cards had a variety unlike the cards at Walmart located at the checkout aisle. This also has an organizer to hold the cards, so they will not be all over the house. Delivery time was 1-2 days.

  • Playable out of the box.
I love that its playable out of the box. No making of decks. Plus there two decks so you don't need another to play against a friend. This is a solution to buying individual packs.

  • If your looking into starting up Pokémon, battle decks are they way to go.
If your looking into playing the card game the battle decks are the way to go. Good decks and good cards, would keep buying from them if I find more.
