The fabric is light and breathable and the collar is stiff enough that it stands nicely but not so stiff that it’s uncomfortable. The fabric is still heavy enough though that it billows in the wind and looks really cool when walking! I have tiny dogs so I got this cape and wore all black underneath and got little bat wing harnesses for my dogs and walked around as a ‘vampire walking her bats’ and everyone thought it was hilarious! For size reference, I’m 5’5” (65”) and I got the 55” as I wanted it to go to my feet and be all billowy and cool. It was the perfect length and went to my ankles! Just the right height to still be billowy and cool but not drag on the ground when walking! Not sure how to rate the sheerness because you can’t see through it when wearing it as it’s double layered but I’m sure some bright light could be seen through the fabric. But it’s perfect for what I needed!

I expected this to look cheap, considering the price. Take that low expectation and go lower. The fabric looks at least somewhat heavy and solid in the pictures. It isn't. It is almost sheer and looks pretty bad. It is definitely a Halloween store super cheap cape.

This was my 3rd try to find a cape-type something to go with a cute witch hat I found. This is actually made well! Certainly not thick and heavy, but for for a light-weight costume cloak, it hangs well, 2-layers (black outside, color choice inside), good collar that stands up without flopping. I would expect the hooded version is also well done. I'm 5'2" and got the 47" one. It hangs above the ankles, no worry of it dragging and getting dirty or stepped on. Pretty sure I'll use it more than once!
