Replacing the latch cord on a recliner is one of those things put on the back burner for "fear of failure". It's really not that hard. With the recliner on its side, look at YOUR mechanism, (you may need to remove some staples to remove cloth). Then look at the Amazon page.......Match up the latch and the piece on the other side. Order the new cord. .Remove the old cord, replace it with the new cord, maybe 5 minutes, and "voila" everybody is happy! A staple gun pressed firmly on the frame will set the staples.
