I bought this set to use for a podcast, but was disappointed with the product I received. When testing the mics, one of them had quite unusable quality, in which it was too quiet and cut out a lot. The picture shows my testing of the mics, with 1 being the bad one. It could be that someone dropped and returned it, but it was discouraging to find it like this out of the box. The other mic, the cabling, mixer, and boom arms were great, however, so I give the company the benefit of the doubt. EDIT Customer support was very helpful and sent a new mic! ... show more

This product was easy to use and set up! Bought this for a school project for my son, it was easy for him to use. Everything plugged right in and started right up. Would definitely recommend for a starter podcast set!

    • No Instructions UPDATE**

I have set my mixer and mic's up and now I need to know how to use it. The volume doesnt go very high so that is a concern for my specific needs. The writing is too small to see on some of the buttons and there was no tutorial in the box. No instructions came with the package, only a QR code. The QR code leads to a video that only shows, in fast speed, how to connect it, not how to use it. I googled and youtubed for further instructions but I couldn't find anything with clear concise directions and some of them wouldn't play. I have the insurance on this device with technical support and will leave an update here after I attempt to reach them. If all fails I will return the item. Squarock reached out to me as a result of this post and offered two options being to give a full refund for the product with no obligation to return it or they offered to send me an updated mixer at no cost. The I opted in for the updated mixer but the one they offered was not comparable to the one I purchased. I need 2 mic's to function at the same time, not just 1 so that wouldn't work. They refunded my money for both the product and the extended warranty/insurance for tech support. All communication was via email and when I asked to speak with someone on the phone they sent me a QR code for Facebook. They also sent me an instructional but was not for the system I have so I found the instructional I needed, printable copy, so I could learn how to use the equipment. That was the only problem I was having. I feel that customer service made a big effort to be accommodating and communication was an effort. This unit that I purchased, the buttons are hard to read so the manual comes in handy. I will print out a color copy of the face of the mixer and apply it to our studio bench so we know what's what. The only other problem I am still having is that I cannot get the sound to play with the editing software we use, PowerDirector Suite 365, one of the top leading editing software, and I already spoke with them and verified my settings were correct. Though, we have used PD for years and never had an issue with the sound. Everything is connected appropriately and the volumes are up on the mixer where they need to be. I have the most current sound card on my PC too. We use KRK Rokit 5 G4 monitors, top of the line, and everything plays correctly except through PowerDirector. I am researching compatibility issues. I have yet to hear back from Squarock. I'm sure once we get all of the kinks worked out it will have all been worth it. I will keep you updated. ... show more

We got this bundle hoping to upgrade our one mice podcast, and they have been a huge disappointment. Set up was fairly easy, but the sound quality of the actual mics is very quiet, muffled, and static-y. As several reviews mentioned, there are very limited instructions, so we just played around with it all for hours with no progress. There’s absolutely no way we could/would record with such poor sound quality, and the lack of instruction is very disappointing. I wish we could have made this work, and I don’t know if we just got a dud… but this is essentially unusable. ... show more

Bought this setup for my podcast with my partner. The mics are clear and capture our voices well. The board did nothing but make static. The buttons are silly and the controls are limited. I tried running the setup through Audacity but it was low quality output. I now run the mics directly into my iPhone and record the podcast in GarageBand. I would recommend spending more money and getting a quality mic and running it direct to GarageBand or other application. ... show more
