    • Very good tool for novice, beginners in audio. Easy operation and fun.
I've been involved in audio and video for decades, and have studio level audio equipment. However, the significant other has limited familiarity with the equipment. So, I need to set it up, calibrate and show her a few controls. Then, she can do her videos, meetings, etc, with access to the adjustments that she might need. And, I'm nearby if there's a technical issue. This piece of equipment is simpler and has a much lower learning curve. In fact, she's quite content and delighted with the included sound effects. Initial set up took longer than I expected, because I needed different gear to accommodate the inputs for secondary audio inputs. And, of course, she wanted to have all the available inputs and features available. Once, completed, she connected online with her friend to do a test run. It went reasonably smoothly. She still has to become familiar with the location and functions of knobs/dials. (It was easier for her when everything was 'perfectly' arranged, or I was working the audio/visual aspects, hehe.) The EQ controls are decent for the intended purpose of the gear. Same with the sound effects, decent quality, but with obvious sound characteristics. The mic is okay quality (I may be biased, comparing it to my studio quality gear). The mic stand is pretty good, stable and surprisingly sturdy. Her initial test went very well, and I heard them both laughing. I think that after a while, the special effects and sound files will be hardly used, and she'll settle into setting her audio levels and concentrating on the live audio interaction. Canned sound effects lose their novelty after a while. But, it's nice to have them, and they come in handy for special events and just fun. (And some sound effects may actually become a 'trademark'/habitual signal during an session.) So, my evaluation of the product is mostly positive. It performs within the expected parameters. The audio controls are clearly marked and easy to operate. Once you have it set up, and become familiar with the controls setup, it's easy and fun. The panel does not feel flimsy or cheap. The price is reasonable. Based on these observations and initial impressions, it earns a 4.5+ star rating, with a high level recommendation. ... show more

This podcast bundle seems pretty impressive. I've always wanted to start doing podcasts and this bundle gives me no excuse to procrastinate since I don't have to source everything separately. Comes with a very nice microphone with a solid, heavy stand. Also comes with earbuds with very long cord. No controls on earbuds. And a controller that connects to computer with USB. This allows to control sound levels, add some effects (like applause) and controls who is recorded. A nice little sound board. I've only used the microphone alone so far, with Zoom, and it seems to have good sound quality, though I think it would be more useful to use it with the control board. I haven't had a chance to do that yet. Any way, it looks like a very decent, useful collection of equipment and I look forward to using it more. Great price. ... show more

I’ve been thinking for a while of starting a weekly podcast ever since I became an ordained minister. I don’t want to invest a lot of money in equipment in case it all doesn’t work out. But I do want any podcast I do to have a semblance of professionalism. That’s why I chose this particular podcast set. This podcast equipment bundle has everything I need to stream my own podcast. It includes a very capable mixing board, a condenser mic, and all the cabling I need to hook it to my computer. And it works for producing YouTube videos….another outlet I’m thinking of. I like this particular podcast set for a number of reasons. Firstly, the included equipment mimics that of the professional variety. The plugs are standard studio audio plugs not USB. I think that assures you better sound quality in the long run. The mic includes both a wind screen and a duck palm which you find in any studio. The included accessories aren’t professional quality, but they do the job. Secondly, the mixing board included with this set is quite capable. It has a decent range of audio controls, good visual indicators and even sound effects. I don’t think I’ll use the sound effects in my podcast, though…but you never know. And third, this podcast set is very compact. I don’t have a lot of room in my ‘office studio’, so the size is perfect. And it’s all compatible with any program or outlet I choose to use. I think I made a good choice in this podcast set. It has everything I need…and then some….to produce my own podcast or YouTube channel. I look forward to using it a good deal. ... show more

Just very recently able to set this up and so far everything has been working well. I'm hesitant to really give the green light, just due to the overall lack of time spent with it. Pulling it out, everything looks great and high quality. My son is interested in streaming, so I figured this would be a great start. When he pulled it out, he was super happy. He's been able to get everything set up except for the mic, but I don't know if he really knows how to set that up. I'll be fixing that issue later and updating this review. ... show more

Affordable set for the beginner. Easy to set up and use. Doesn't take up too much desk or table space. I think it would make a great gift idea for a person wanting to start recording or making videos.

    • Basic and simple but fully functional set
All in one set for podcast beginner and it does indeed make your life a bit easier but it is no way a professional setup but then again most pod casters never need a professional set up so why not start with this simple set . Ordered for my daughter who does regular pod cast type video's for You Tube ... show more
