  • I like this LittleSax .
I play alto saxophone and I couldn't get a note until I read the instructions and you have to put your teeth up to the slot of the mouthpiece, I support it is a good invention, it makes it easy for me because I play the flute. The plastic reed A make very nice sound. Good price.

  • Looking forward to practicing this instrument more. Lots of fun to play.
Seems to be a playable instrument after blowing a few notes on it, but am sure with more practicing and studying the accompanied fingering chart, it will become more easier to play.

  • Sorely disappointed.
I used to play clarinet and used a #2 reed. These reeds are like wood and difficult to soften up. The ligature is cheap and difficult to tighten. I doubt it can be returned, so it's going in the trash.

  • More like a recorder than a sax
My son plays Tenor Sax, so I got him this for Christmas for him to just play around with/practice with. He thought it was pretty funny and fun, but I was kind of disappointed in it. The sound quality is not that great nor are the notes correct tones. Like I said, more like a recorder.

  • Try it to understand potential problems with cheap saxophones…
The “resin whistles” are actually plastic reeds. This is basically a plastic recorder with a saxophone style mouthpiece instead of a hard whistle at the end, as in a student plastic recorder. What is it good for? Annoying my kids by playing all sorts of strange noises. (But if you listen to a lot of 80’s pop music as I have, there are a lot of squeals and growls in that stuff)In addition to that, it may teach you how to achieve the best “embouchure” or mouth placement should you want to play a real saxophone. It also teaches the importance of a good seal of the finger holes and how it impacts playability. It isn’t a very efficient instrument as I have to have the loudest, clearest tone at the reed, in order to successfully play the low notes with any volume. I got mine for $25 used and before you say “gross”. I was able to wash it thoroughly before i assembled it. It does not accept other mouthpieces; however, you can use any alto sax reed you like on it. I like it a lot but if I get really good at it, I might become a street musician. ... show more

  • Good luck
I play an Alto Sax, this doesn’t even compare. Good luck playing this. I would not buy again.

  • Loving it
Loving it, I feel like I'm back in high school in music learning how to play the sax again. Again loving it!
