It was still $1200 when I purchased it but, it was a great price relative to other cards at the time. I know this card does not have the best VRM and such and would not be the best over-clocking card but, it does have some other nice advantages. Maybe not the best cooler ever, the heat pipes are not soldered to the fins so, it could be better but, it is still a nice cooler and very quiet. I am not an intense gamer and for me, this was nearly a perfect card. If you just want an RTX 4080 that has a good cooler, is quiet, is not crazy overprices, has some basic RGB, then this is the card for you. ... show more

I love this card, the difference from 2k to 4k has been such a massive jump! The only complaint that I have with this card is the fact that the power cord needed (the 12 pin + 4) was not included with the card so I had to rush to Microcenter to get the correct cord needed.

I bought this 4080 last year. After a period of time within warranty, I noticed screen tears -- not during games but during regular workstation use. I followed proper support procedures. I made every change and test asked of me. I meticulously documented every test I made in their support system. They agreed I'd done my diligence and sent me an RMA. They took the card and ran it through their QA -- and sent it BACK TO ME. Here's the problem -- my experience says their QA suite is imperfect and insufficient. The evidence I provided them says the same. They could provide no other reasonable explanation. In short, they are anything but a "customer is always right" company. They are a low-effort, no-care, move-product company. In short, your warranty _might_ be good for something. Might not. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Ok so YES it can fit inside a H5 elite with the water cooler installed. YES the temps are stable. Highest I’ve seen is 70 so far. Still I’m getting a H9 elite next week. But it shines man. Every damn game I threw at it at 4K it just purrrs. Cyberpunk is a brand new game. I’m just in disbelief.
