  • Excellent Write Speed
Capacity: 256GB Style: Memory Card
I've been using old SD cards for years, and my camera has constantly given me grief for exceeding its buffer memory while it was trying to write to the card. During that time I wouldn't be able to take photos. This wouldn't be a huge issue however for sporting/wedding events I need to be able to clear my buffer more quickly to keep taking photos (and on that end, I need a higher capacity card so I don't need to swap cards mid-way through) At 100MB/s I was finally able to exceed my camera's own write speed, so now my limitation is hardware based which there's nothing I can do about it, but I now rarely get the notice that my camera is still writing and I need for it to wait. (Previously I went from being able to take 12 photos back to back to 23 photos back to back before I filled the buffer capacity) Definitely worth the upgrade ... show more

  • 1 TB PNY Camera Card
Capacity: 1TB Style: Memory Card
I'm going to update this later but no problems so far. I'm nervious sinking that much money into 1 TB card verses 2 500gb cards in case something goes wrong.

  • Best SD Card Purchase ever!!
Capacity: 512GB Style: Memory Card
I would like to start by saying that I have been a professional fashion photographer in Los Angeles for about 18 years so this is a review from a photographer shooting photos with my camera and not video. I shoot several times a week for commercial clients and I've used the pro-level / high-end line of SD cards from all the major brands including: Sandisk, Lexar and ProGrade. I was looking for a 500gb card and decided to try out this one from PNY because in the past I have owned other "non-pro" PNY cards and never, ever had a problem with them, so I decided to give the brand a chance again... and boy am I surprised at the amazing value and performance that I'm getting so far from this card. First of all, after 2 months of shooting with it weekly I can tell you that it writes images just as fast as my ultimate, top-of-the-line ProGrade cards do, even though this PNY card is rated at only 90mb/s write speed and my ProGrade is rated at 250mb/s. Also, it downloads images just as fast as my ProGrade cards even though this PNY card is rated at 100mb/s read speed while the ProGrade is rated at 300mb/s. Oh! and did I mention that this card only cost around 74 dollars while the ProGrade only offers a max capacity of 256gb for around 250 dollars?? I will mention that if you are shooting high-end video then it does make sense to spend the extra money on the more expensive ProGear cards but only if you're shooting high bandwidth 4K video in some form of log color space as this card's write speed will not be able to keep up with that. But if you're shooting regular 4K video this card should work just fine. In short, I have found this card's performance is highly consistent and dependable in situations where high performance and high-speed capture is required for photography - otherwise I wouldn't be using it. So in my opinion this sd card is up there with the best of them. You can spend a lot more money for high-end pro level cards for photography from other brands but you will not get better performance nor greater dependability, you will just spend a lot more money. ... show more

  • Very Fast. Wide Compatibility Range
Capacity: 256GB Style: Memory Card
I find that PNY SD cards have been the most reliable for me over the years. It's a shame they're hard to find in stores these days. I went to Best Buy not too long ago looking for one. All they had on the floor were San Disk Cards. I asked if they had any other brands there and I mentioned PNY. The guy told me they kept them behind the customer service desk (sounds like somebody is trying to make sure they're the only ones in available in stores). Anyways, I have yet to use a product that wouldn't accept a PNY SD card. For photos and short videos I use a Pentax K-70 to film. I had many problems with San Disk cards on that camera. If I were shooting a video, the camera would stop filming after maybe a minute and then take 5 minutes to save it. Those cards were of the same speed rating as this PNY. The PNY has worked fine in my camera, and every other camera I have used as well. ... show more
