Slimmer and more lightweight, its internal volume has been reduced by 75 percent, overall weight has been halved and the thickness trimmed down to 2.8cm (thickness of current model is 7.8cm). Its size is almost as small as a hardcover book, making it easier to carry around. If I could give 0 stars I would. Purchased a system that was looking really sharp on the outside but it worked extremely terrible. Couldn't play a game to save your life. I returned it and received a new one. The new one on the outside looked beat up but actually worked slightly better than the first. The second system had a mind of its own however freezing often and going extremely slow at the worst times. When you pay over $200 and the say its renewed you expect it to be like new for atleast a little while. I mean we get its an old system but don't lie about your product. These systems work sparingly and most should probably be sold for parts. They should be selling them at $50 or under not $182. ... show more

Came in great condition no problems with starting up legit!!! Only problem was with slightly wear and tear scratches on the console but none within the disc drive so it wasn’t a big issue

Ps2 slim came exactly on time. Video & Audio works great doesn’t overheat or anything negative at all. Proud to have it added in my collection. The Nostalgia seeing just the loading screen scratched my brain in just the right spot totally forgot how much I loved this system.

    • Get a Sony power supply!
The console itself works great but the generic power supply that came with it didn't work well and would turn the console off thankfully I had an official Sony power supply and working perfectly now

    • I was so excited to play but system
System turns on with no issue, but has trouble reading completely clean discs. Returns error almost every time, especially if the system isn’t resting upright (vertically on its side).

The slim version of the PS2 is still the greatest console ever made. It's an improvement of the first wide console which had a high failure rate and cost customers a lot of money. The console has the largest library of any kind ever, and is backward compatible with Original Playstation games, in all too many games for a casual gamer to have time for in one lifetime. My purchase has already given me hours of bliss playing old games I should never have let go. The game Deus Ex: The Conspiracy is especially relevant now; plagues, conspiracies and artificial intelligence are brought into play in a story you'll never forget. The Madden and WWE games were far more fun, there were no microtransactions and single player games were private, and all genres were full of greatest hits as well as underrated titles. Somehow games were more immersive and fun. Medal of Honor was still good, platformers were at their best, and though some titles have had or are getting remakes and remasters, not enough are. To play a PS One game, remember to have a suitable memory card unless you plan on doing speed runs. You can't use the PS2 memory card for original Playstation games. If you remember, or never had the sheer pleasure of using this amazing console, do it. You will not see the mind-blowing graphics of the PS4 or 5, but forget that and get lost in great gameplay. Trying to see if i can contact the seller, but I am NOT happy. I bought this about 4 months ago along with 3 PS2 games. X-Men Legends, X-Men Legends 2, and Champions of Norrath. Worked great, until today. I turned the consol on to play one of the games and it said "Unable to Read Disc". I opened the dic tray and saw a trace amount of a white powdery substance. I removed the disc and there is a scratch ring all around the disc which was the source of the powder. I checked the other two games, and they have the same ring. Now I can't play any of them! ... show more
