Playsafer rubber mulch is an exceptional playground protection surface, as it provides unmatched shock absorbency, and greatly reduces the incidence of playground injuries. Unlike other loose-fill surfaces, Playsafer rubber mulch nuggets require minimal maintenance, dry quickly after rain, and will not decompose. Its exceptional longevity makes Playsafer rubber mulch for play areas and playgrounds, a very cost-effective option. Rubber mulch is an environment-friendly safety surface, manufactured from recycled passenger vehicle tires. Rubber mulch provides one of the safest and best surfaces for a wide variety of applications from children's playground surfacing to rock wall and obstacle course impact surfacing. A great safety feature. Bought it over a year ago. No deterioration in the product. It provides a safe landing place those occasional slips and falls. You can’t wrap a child in bubble wrap you can improve the odds to by spending a little money on terrific safety products like this.

First off I want to start by saying the product looks great and is nice to walk on we ordered the brown, unfortunately 2 of the 12 bags we ordered had lots of green in it which was difficult to pick all of the pieces out which we got tired of doing but here’s a picture of what we did pick out and when u pay almost $600 for rubber mulch u want the product u ordered to not have lots of green when u specifically ordered brown. Other than that I think it’s a great solution to get rid of weeds in any given area we put tarps on the ground then the rubber mulch over the top to create a sitting area. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Absolutely an AWESOME product and company! I was expecting this to be delivered July 15th but it came today! I LOVE it! I wanted a pop of color at the entrance of my meditation garden to accentuate my arch, birdbath, and pet cat memorials. (Our dogs are at the other entrance) This worked out perfectly! My rubber rubble arrived one day early and I am so pleased with the product but, I would like to defend the vey hard working delivery driver who was unable to put the 2000 pound load down where I needed it to be on account of the prehistoric fork lift pallet mover they are making that man have to use, I don't think it was even electric (anyway) he did a good job despite the equipment he is forced to have to work with, for my first purchase I chose blue, a subdued blue that I think is just as beautiful as the pink that got here yesterday, I highly recommend this mulch because the "party" colors are dignified in appearance, not juvenile so it doesn't make the front seem as though we are running a daycare facility. ... show more

Color is already fading. Some pieces look black to begin with, but as they are sitting in the sun, the blue color is turning darker. Too expensive for the poor quality. I wish I'd just gotten cheap black mulch.
