Bought this for my four year old and he really likes it. It’s cute and he finds it hilarious when it poops the play dough out. Though when it came in, it wasn’t in the normal packaging you would see in the store. It was crammed into a little box with Chinese writing all over it, I had no idea what it was until I opened it and then couldn’t get it back in. Also though there are openings in its mouth stomach and butt, it is hard to clean the small passages In between, especially if you child tries to shove the whole thing of play dough down its throat. ... show more

my 4 year old and 7 year old granddaughters enjoy PlayDoh toys. My youngest was excited about the Amazon images and requested this cute dinosaur. It took us a while to realize that you have to roll your PlayDoh into a thin pencil width rope and "feed" it into the dinosaur mouth slowly as you pump the Trex's arms causing the mouth to open and close and cut the PlayDoh. The apparatus in the head of the dinosaur then cuts the rope into little pieces that drop into the "tummy" of the dinosaur. (There are mold-forms on the surface of the Dino for making "bones" to chew up, as well.) Once there are small chunks in the tummy you press a second button and a little trap door opens at the bottom of the body and the pieces drop out. We all enjoyed the roaring and chomping sounds emanating from the toy as it "chews," but the grandgirls only played with the set twice. Perhaps boys would play with this toy more often. ? It’s really cool and I want to love it! But ours is defective and missing pieces. I just opened it for my sons birthday and it’s too late to return/exchange. Really bummed the trap door stays open and never closes and missing the pterodactyl piece. My son still thinks it’s cool.
