The access panel can be installed on drywall, plaster, brick or stucco walls using caulking adhesive. The wall opening for the access doors should be 3/8" larger than the order size.

This is a great quality for the price product. Dimensions are very correct. Printable too. The only downside is that it doesn't open easy and forcing it to open might un-glue your panel from the drywall. Recommend using a screw driver or something.

I needed a fairly large sized access door to cover the main water shutoff valve and pressure reducing valve which is located in a closet in my living room. The panel was relatively affordable for its size, easy to install, and it looks fine in a closet. Not that it needs to be very sturdy, but it is a bit on the flimsy side. In a slight "emergency" I discovered that I need a slot-head screwdriver to get it open. Working frantically, I applied too much force and popped the door out of its frame. Nothing hurt, I was able to pop it back in. Until I get around to putting some kind of handle on the door, I just don't snap it all the way shut; no big deal. Considering the odd size and shape I needed, I would buy this again. ... show more

You can match the color of the wall as it’s paintable with regular water based painting. Nicely blends with the wall when painted. You need a screw driver to open the door.
