Very pleased with this purchase. Bought one to try it out and opted for self-assembly so I could give each piece a full fresh coat of teak oil before putting it all together. Quality hardware included. Assembly was straightforward and not too difficult, but it did take a little extra effort and muscle on the final step, attaching the arm rests, even with keeping several screws loosened to work the wood together before it finally all fit tight and right. One or two pre-drilled holes just did not line up perfectly but were still close enough and well within tolerances (which is totally normal and very common for most furniture made of real wood anyhow, btw, so no need to panic when encountered). I did not have to re-drill any holes and I still would have been equally happy with the finish piece either way. All told, full assembly took me about 45 minutes. Might recommend pre-assembly for most, if affordable and desired, but the finish product is sturdy, comfortable, and quite attractive. An annual coat of teak oil or boiled linseed oil should keep these beauties lasting many years to come. Highly comfortable rocking Adirondack chair with or without the matching fitted cushion that we also purchased, but almost hate to cover up that attractive wood grain. Already purchased more to add to the collection. Happy customer! ... show more

The chair is a bit hard to assemble. The instructions are not good at all, best to look at a picture of the assembled chair while trying to decipher the instructions. Otherwise it is a very nice, comfortable and sturdy chair. And it folds away for storage. The customer service is the BEST I have ever experienced. Contact the seller and they WILL take care of you. I was missing some hardware and they were quick to respond and send it out. They also replaced the entire back rest of my other chair, no questions asked! One of the boards was starting to split and instead of sending just the one board, they sent me a brand new entire back to the chair. Wish the instructions were a little easier to make out, but it is worth it in the end. ... show more

PROS: good price, quick delivery, quality nice little chair. They are comfy and make my back porch look very nice and classy. CONS: They are kind of smaller than I was expecting and sitting low to the ground. The advertised relaxing part does not apply to putting them together. There are few steps, one would think not to complicated.... but the instructions are awful, hard to read, small text and drawings. Found an instructional video, but still hard to see what you supposed to do. I have ordered total 4 of them, in one of them holes did not aligned, and some were not drilled all the way trough, and being my first chair out of 4, it was very frustrating because I did not know if I was doing something wrong. The other 3 were breeze. I have changed the order the steps 1 and 2 from the instructions and it made easier to put it together. IN THE MIDDLE: since these chairs supposed to be foldable, they have moving parts, which gives them flimsy feeling, I am not crazy about that, but I understand the concept. Now I don't think they will fall apart, but just feel wobbly. Overall do not regret. ... show more

I ordered 4 at the same time...two came is first and then the 3rd and then the 4th. No big deal about them coming on three different days, but the quality of the 2nd two had issues. !st two were fine, 3rd one had one issue, and fourth one had four issues. I am glad I did not send back the 3rd before I got the fourth because I used parts from the last two to make one that works. Issues were, missing pins, damage that was apparently "repaired" with wood glue, parts that did not work.... My advice is to buy these, but be prepared to return them if you get one that has issues which from my experience is 50% of the time. Keep whatever you are going to return and don't send back until the replacement arrives as it is highly likely you will need both to make one work. We also bought the table and autumn and everything looks great. I like that you can fold for storage. Have left in the rain with no issues. It works with our fire pit very well. UPDATE: CHIARS STARTED FALLING APART IN ABOUT 6 MONTHS. I TRIED TO SAVE MONEY BUY BUYING THESE AND WASTED MONEY INSTEAD. ... show more

These chairs are wonderful and comfortable. Really great quality as well. I purchased two and then love them so much I ordered two more. The Adirondack chair design was invented to lean back and take in the vista of the Adirondack mountains... and it's wonderful if that's what you are doing. The Plant Theatre chairs on the contrary, allow you to sit up a bit straighter making this a wonderful backyard conversation chair. Wide and comfortable with the fantastic feature of the curved seat front. This helps with folks who are shorter stature, but want to enjoy this lovely large seat. I will say, there is one assembly step that is a bit of a challenge if you are doing it on your own. So you might want a partner for the first few steps. after that... easy as pie. The parts fit very well, there is no 'fighting the design' at all. They fold beautifully and come with a lovely wooden pin to hold lock the chair when it's open. I misplaced some hardware and contacted customer service via email. I heard from them in a couple of days and my dilemma was solved and left me feeling well taken care of. I will buy from Plant Theatre again without question and I do highly recommend these chairs!!!! ... show more

Excellent chair, attractive and comfortable. THere was a problem with a wooden piece on the back that was not manufactured correctly. I emailed Plant Theatre well after normal Buisness hours on a Friday and go an immediate response. The replacement was expediated to me at no charge. FInished assembling and very happh with the chair. Every manufacture will have problems - that is to be expected- but Plant Theatre handled it exceptionally well and for that I am greatly impressed. Good service and a Good product - what more can you ask for. ... show more
