I wanted something that could hold several of my smaller plants without taking up too much floor space, and this bamboo stand turned out to be exactly what I needed. It’s tall but slim, so it fits perfectly in the corner by my window. The 6 tiers give each plant its own spot, and I love how the staggered heights let them all get some sunlight instead of being crammed together. The bamboo wood looks really natural and goes well with my decor — it feels sturdy, not flimsy at all. I also like that it’s lightweight enough to move around when I want to rearrange, but strong enough to hold ceramic pots without wobbling. Assembly was easy; it didn’t take me long at all, and everything lined up nicely. Now my space looks way more organized, and instead of plants scattered everywhere, they’re displayed in a way that actually shows them off. My condo association doesn’t allow plants on the railings of the deck so I bought this to hold plants on my deck. I wanted something affordable and that would be okay being outside under cover. I’m happy with it so far. It took less than 10 minutes to put together.

I recently found that three plants in my kitchen garden window outgrew their welcome and I needed to find an alternative placement for them in a very small apartment. This was a good interim choice—I put it near a partial-sun sliding door and the plants on it have done well. It looks very nice in the living room—it’s unobtrusive but nicely noticeable at the same time. Here are things to pay attention to: 1. Height. This unit is shorter than would work best for my plants, given where I had to place the unit. This is not the fault of this seller, I just should have chosen a taller unit. I’ve found that the plants I put on the lower shelf just don’t get enough light. Also the measurement between shelves will limit the height of some of your plants, meaning taller plants might have only the two top shelves. 2. Depth. Large pots just won’t work on this unit. There isn’t enough space either for a large pot or for foliage of a smaller plant. 3. Weight. The plants that are successfully growing are in plastic pots because I think a standard 6 inch clay pot would add too much weight for the shelves (which don’t have a secondary support). So: yes, it was easy to put together, it looks nice, and is a good home for some plants, given size parameters. When choosing this unit, you should of course first consider placement vis-a-vis light source and then think about the ultimate size of your plants. How much light does each need, how much space does each need to grow to its maximum best? I tend to think its best use is for plants that have an adequate light source and a limited growth cycle, I’m already facing the task of where to place plants that are growing beyond this unit. This of course is not the fault of the shelving unit….it’s just kinda life wanting to live large.

It was very easy to install, the instructions were accurate and precise. There were holes on either side which reduced the risk of rework. It's super lightweight as well which can hold indoor plants easily. The quality is good for the price. After assembly it is quite firm on the ground and sturdy enough to hold pots and plants.
