Extremely pretty chemise. I’m so glad it has adjustable straps since I’m 5 ft 3 and this doesn’t come in petite size. The material is extremely fine gauge (almost thin) so it’s nice for warm nights. I weigh 138 lbs and the size large fits me perfectly without clinging in any unattractive way. The front mesh is not scratchy or anything so it’s comfortable.

I LOVE the fabric of this nightgown, but don't like the fit as much as some other nightgowns from this brand. Here is why: Fabric: this fabric (95% modal 5% elastane) is super soft and feels like it is floating on your body. (In fact I like the fabric so much I have bought some other nightgowns, with this material, from PJ Savage.) I move a lot when I sleep, and this moves with me, so I don't feel constricted like I do with other fabrics and move from side to side. I love this fabric!!!! Fit: I am 6' tall, wear a size 14 and have a "tummy". I bought an XL (the size I am for this brand). With some other PJ Salvage nightgowns (i.e. the "Woman's Modal Basics Nightshirt" and the "Woman's Modal Basics Nightgown") the fit is much more flattering. This nightgown in an XL is tighter and hugs my curves in a very unflattering way (e.g., it shows off the bad curves). But was big enough in the chest. So if you buy this nightgown buy it on the bigger side (and hopefully it won't be too big on the chest) and/or make sure your curves don't need hiding (in which case I am jealous) :) Washing: I am not keeping this nightgown, but my experience with the other nightshirts in the same material is that It washes great. I have had the other nightshirts for around 6 months - I wash and dry them normally and the fabric is the same as the day I bought it. No fading, no pilling, no wrinkles. In sum: I am keeping the Women's Modal Basic Nightgown because it is much more flattering and am returning this one. But again, if you have a body where you don't have to worry about hiding your flaws, then this nightgown may be perfect for you.

This has changed over the years. I'm a repeat buyer. This is my third one. I don't know why I didn't return it and now it's too late. First, there used to be a sweet little tiny satin bow on the bodice where the lowest parts meet in the middle - no more bow. Number two, the bodice is too big. The black one I have from several years ago is cut smaller and looks so much better on my petite upper body. I can't begin to fill out the grey bodice. Just regretting the whole purchase. The grey color is blah and reminds me of an old dingy sweatshirt. Also.....please do not put this in the dryer. I had a grey one 6 years ago and it didn't last 9 months. I now put these in lingerie bags on the delicate cycle and hang to dry. If I could, I would return it. Alas, I missed the return deadline two weeks ago.
