This is a really good beginner soap making kit and a fun way to get into soap making. The kit comes with a lot of useful items including the soap base, essential oils, dyes, molds, and even a recipe book with different soap ideas to try. If you follow the instructions, you can definitely make some really nice soaps. One thing to know is that the loaf mold takes a little practice to get used to. It’s not difficult once you figure it out, but the first couple times can be a bit tricky. Also, while the kit includes a lot, you may need to purchase a few additional ingredients if you want to try all of the recipes in the recipe book. Still, it’s a great starter set and a fun project. One important warning: the melted soap gets extremely hot. I learned this the hard way and burned myself pretty badly when lifting the container. That was my mistake, but I want to warn others to be very careful when handling the melted soap and always use proper protection. Overall, this is a fun kit and a great way to start learning soap making, just take your time and be careful with the heat. ... show more

With a soap base melter, 3 sets of individual silicon molds and a mold for making bulk soap, crushed flower petals, 2 types of cutters (wavy and straight), and with both Shea and Clear Soap bases, several scents and dyes, you get to make soap your way, be creative, and the rest is up to you as far as getting more soap base afterward. My first experience with making soap. This kit is so easy to use and yields a lot of soap. My family loves the softness the soap leaves on your skin. The soap does not leave any residue on your skin or bathtub. The scents are very nice and there is plenty left over for ordering more soap.
