  • It’s not the ball; it’s you
The media could not be loaded. These balls are my current favorite. I’ve only been golfing for a year, so I knew to get the green ones. They really do fly a bit straighter than Supersofts, and I get about 5-10 more yards on the landing, from the box or off the deck. Once I’m on the green, the alignment line is really easy to see, too, which has helped me to improve my short game. Even though I read in some reviews that they sound like hitting rocks, I haven’t had that issue, but they were also mostly one and two star reviews. I’ve actually gotten a lot of compliments on how my hits sound! I first broke 100 a few weeks ago, and have been mostly under 100 since; always under when I play my home course. Is that because I use these balls? They help, but it’s more because I’ve taken a few lessons, I ask for advice from better players and I’ve focused on improving my weaknesses to shave strokes off of my game. This is how everyone can improve instead of blaming the ball, or the club, or the course. If you consistently slice to the right and you know you don’t follow all the way through or you know your club face was turned out, don’t expect any ball to fix that. Those are you problems, not ball problems. Learn to bring your weight all the way back around or keep your forward thumb over the center of the shaft when you swing. The only remotely negative thing I’ve noticed with these balls is that they ding easily if I hit a cart path or a tree. Even then, once any ball hits the cart path, I wouldn’t play it again after that hole except for the range, anyway. Golf balls are designed to land in grass or sand, not hit pavement or bark. Overall, I think these balls are fantastic, and affordably priced. The amount I save on two boxes will get me a large bucket of range balls, so I can practice even more. I look forward to leveling up to the blue series some time next year! ... show more

  • Great Golf Balls!
I finally found a day that was warm enough to test out my new Piper golf balls. I was pleasantly surprised. The ball stayed consistently straight on drives. Distance seemed to be good. I even outdrove my husband on a couple holes :) The alignment marker worked great for lining up my putts. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you're looking for good quality golf balls at a reasonable price. ... show more

  • Not Polara, but a great value
So I’ve been playing the Polaras at $50 a dozen for awhile and am impressed. These check in at half the price and I’ve put three rounds on them. At the price point, this is a great ball. My tee shots were mostly straight and the irons gave me true distance. These have a nice feel off the face and do go where I want them when I hit them right. These are not “75% slice reduction” type balls, but are overall solid. At this price point, I’m going to keep playing them. ... show more

  • Does not work for me
I was really excited to try these, but they don’t work for me. My husband was able to hit them ok so maybe they are meant for better golfers than us?

  • Long and straight
I had one of my best games using this ball. Only lost 1 ball and that's because the pond got in my way.

  • Pretty good ball for cost
Clarification: I’m not an amazing golfer at all. However, my issues do not come from a lack of distance but from problems with striking in my short game, so this is not the type of ball I would normally play. The feel of the ball is not noticeably bad on approach shots and chipping. However, since it’s a distance ball, it is expectedly hard, which really stands out on full shots and putting. I did have a few yards of improvement on most tees though. After a few holes, I did notice some pretty deep cuts in the ball’s jacket, so durability isn’t like a premium ball. Most importantly, though, this ball is definitely worth the cost. I tend to lose balls pretty often, so I am not the type to spend $40+ on a dozen balls. I would definitely buy these again if I needed help with distance and look forward to trying more of Pipers products in the future. ... show more
