This blood glucose monitor kit seems to include everything you need for daily measurements. It comes with 100 lancets and glucometer strips. It's compact enough to carry while travelling. It did come with a battery. While it works mostly fine, I do see it slightly inconsistent with my other monitoring device. Also, I wish the display was a little brighter. ... show more

I’ve been trying to help my little old lady next door learn experiment with reducing pain related to managing diabetes. This is the first glucose meter that she said she couldn’t even feel the prick. The needles/lancets that come with the kit she figured out on the first try. That’s what made me share the experience. She was constantly accidentally poking herself and these don’t allow her to do that because of the safety feature. The kit comes with a carry case that fits in her purse. I did have to scan the QR code on the box to watch the instructional video. The first time we got an error because she didn’t get enough blood but hasn’t happened since. This glucometer is easy to use and very similar in operation to others of its kind. Replacement strips are not as easy to find as one touch branded items but they are available online. In comparison to my dexcom, finger stick reads are +/- 8 mg/dl and from my one touch ultra they are +/- 12mg/dl. This is considered accurate for home use. I would absolutely consider purchasing additional supplies for this monitor as a backup and do consider it to be a good value. It is portable, easy to use and quick. ... show more

The Pip Blood Glucose Monitor Travel Kit is convenient for on-the-go testing, and I appreciate that it comes with everything you need—100 strips, 100 lancets, and a blood sugar monitor. It’s compact and easy to carry, making it great for travel. However, there are a few downsides. The pre-loaded lancets aren’t as user-friendly as I expected, and I found them a bit tricky to use. Also, the monitor itself is accurate but takes a bit longer to display results compared to other monitors I’ve used. The control solution is a nice inclusion, but I wish the overall quality of the kit felt more robust.
