I bought these speakers as replacement speakers for Mark Levinson component woofers in Lexus SC430. Watts and Ohms were my real concerns cause the orig. were 8ohms and these are 4 ohms. These are integrated (tweeter+mid range + woofer) speakers and I was replacing the woofer component of the component system. Not only they are form fit function compatible, they sound better than the originals in '02 SC430 - can't believe it. Excellent quality and can't beat the price. they could have kept the ear buds ,worst jump ive heard in a long time .threw them out ,i wouldnt even give them away .Speakers are awesome though ,lots of power and a great price for an upgrade from oem

My husband had bought a 2001 Chevy 2 door Blazer which he has been working on himself to improve. It was supposed to be mine but he has taken it to drive himself because he's loving what he's making it . He put these speakers in one afternoon without a problem. And he loves the way it sounds, even with the original radio. When he gets the newer radio/sound system he's looking for to update it, I can only imagine how good the sound will get then. ... show more

    • Tweeters not needed with these, pretty clear.
Bass vibrates but isn't deep enough. For a 400w speaker the 45rms it runs at is pretty low. If you like powerful sound for like metal or rap I'd probably go with a higher end model number that has real butyle surround rubber for better thump. I put in higher end pioneer 6.5s in back and those are more powerful. Would probably be better with a 4 channel amp instead of running off headunit power. ... show more

I bought two pair of MB quarts for my car. During installation I realized the Mbs were too big for my door panels (2007 Toyo Camry). I visited another website to find speakers that would fit, and these were one of very few that would fit. These impressed me quite a bit, and far exceeded my expectations. The bass out of them is actually quite good. I turned off my subs to check them out on their own. The mids are where these speakers shine. Be aware, as with most speakers, they took about a week or so to truly break in. They sound good right out of the box, but they sound much better after about 20 hours play or so (estimate). ... show more

I purchased several pair of 450 watt pioneer speakers before this purchase & They were advertised 450 watt & marked on front of f box 450 watt , These speakers were advertised as 800 watts , but when I recieved, the box said 400 watts Max , I called Pioneer Electronics ( technical support) to Ask about The 800 Watt claim, The Technician said , the 400 Watt max , means Per Pair , Not Each ! ... show more
